I just put 24 ETH into my ether wallet on my iPhone and the app crashed so I deleted it and reinstalled it but apparently when I tried to log back in it said I had to use a recovery key but I never bothered to set one up. I didn’t think I had to because I set a 6 digit password when I first downloaded the app and I thought that was how I could recover it.

Is there anything I can do? My lawyer is trying to find the mailing address for my ether wallet but no luck so far.

Nope, your key or mnemonic to generate your key is your coins.
Might want to look into iPhone jailbreaking on /g and ask around if there are hidden cache folders or some shit, but prob not given the security around wallet dat files.
It is a very very high probability you just burned 24 eth.

I remember when I used Bitcoin cash's version of a blockchain.info wallet before blockchain had a BCH wallet, I sent 72 bch to it on christmas day to sell and they never turned up, i emailed and spammed on twitter for like 5 hours then at like 7pm I got a reply and they ended up showing up somehow, sold them.

bch was a great gift desu.
