For those who did not participate in the previous thread:

The COMEX price of paper metals (spot) is expected to crash to $0. DO NOT BE ALARMED. This is what indicates a lack of interest in the COMEX paper market.

Physical metals have retained value and are just fine. In order for the desired "moonshot" to occur, repricing is one of the prerequisites. That happens by a literal "switch" of the go-to-place where dealers and consumers determine the correct valuation.

Places like this: https://findbullionprices.com/closest-to-spot/

As tempting as it is to keep refreshing spot prices on the various websites out there, keep in mind the price is reflecting PAPER ONLY. Paper holders will lose, not you physical holders. Once all paper losses materialize (e.g. spot prices to $0) then other less-authoritarian price sources will become the guide.

Remember, stay strong anons. Spot price down is GOOD FOR YOU.Go buy physical while the arbitrage is hot!

It can be tough to grasp for most, which is why I use company stocks as an example. Most people anticipate the COMEX failure, but haven't thought further as to what that actually means. Like what happens at that point.

So, just like a company who issues shares, the perception of a company failing will eventually correlate with a lower share price.

People need to stop thinking of COMEX spot prices as gold, silver, <insert metal>... value and think of them as COMEX stock share prices.

Lower prices means institutions/people are selling and nobody is buying. It's a good thing in this case. But scares people because they never though beyond the fail to figure out where to price from there. Hope this helps.

Guys... I have a serious problem. I've become addicted to /PMG/ and it is affecting my life.

I have a habit of reading through every thread just so I don't miss anything... The problem is, that it's moving too fast that I sometimes have to go through 4 or 5 threads with 320-390 replies each just to keep up.

Can you guys slow the fuck down a bit??? If I don't read it all I get FOMO. What if I miss something important??

Anyone else feel the same way or am I just too autistic? I think I need a break because I get literally nothing done other than backreading pmg...

When I put a dollar value I am merely describing current day fiat purchasing power, don't think there is a better way of measuring it for the moment. But it makes sense that as gold and silver becomes money, the value of fiat will hyperinflate into worthlessness.

But we might end up in a scenario where 3 gold coins buys you a private spaceship and a silver coin buys you a brand new car.

Scary considering most PM stackers have their personal info stored with at least 1 dealer. The most profitable business venture in the new paradigm would literally be to raid/hack customer files of PM retailers to dox and rob the big cock stackers.

When you consider how well PMs have done vs the dollar and the stock market over the past few decades, and yet the overwhelming majority still doesn’t own any, it’s been a STUNNING success.

Until literally this year, I never seriously thought about buying any and that’s as someone on 4chan who had heard the Ron Paul anti-Fed shpiel before and could be considered broadly receptive to the idea.

The average person receives very few messages from media or any other source that would incline them towards PM holdings. A few old boomers buy some eagles online because of an ad they read in National Review or something. Maybe. But that’s it.

To contrast, everyone always uses the argument that you can't fractionalize a commodity. I always kek and remind them about our "card-carrying" culture. It really boils down to trust and stewardship, as any typical "fiat" currency must have in order to gain popularity. This time the faith will be given to a US Presidential administration that has garnered grass-roots popularity and, while not perfect, is the best game currently in town. So envision a debit card that fractionalizes your stake in however much metal you have on file with them. Considering there is far more silver in the hands of the "people" I tend to lean toward silver becoming the basis as it could just as easily be used in physical transactions without being overly ridiculous.

real commerce will not happen with this system because it will be too inconvenient. Similar to how today the average person has different accounts for checking, savings, 401k, health savings account, brokerage, IRA, cash, and so on, there will be different coins with different mechanisms coded into how commerce is conducted. So they can only function as a currency within a certain context, or after certain conditions will be met.

The overall goal of this system is to reduce social mobility as much as possible, and most people are too stupid to see how this is already happening today.

Yes, it won't happen on a single chain. There will be literally thousands of crypto coins at a minimum, with very little real distinction between them. They trade through massive exchange gateways with fees equal to the rounding error on a floating point calculation but they will set the rules and parameters for how the exchange can happen. The goal of this abstraction is to make it as difficult as possible to determine the value of goods and fees.

Gotcha, well miners always have the option to withhold. So they are not powerless in this game. Their reserve assets mean something, whether they can get them out or not in a profit-producing manner is the only question. I hear tons of stories of private enterprising people striking exclusivity deals on the regular with mining companies. So money will come from somewhere, doesn't have to be through authoritarian markets.

You probably won't like my response, but if I were you I would cash out on as much crypto as you feel comfortable leaving, then head to your local coin dealer and buy silver.

>>Why leave crypto?
Because it's more of a tool for active/day traders that hedge short-term patterns. In this economy, the patterns are going to start becoming harder and harder to catch, so to take a break from volatility, crypto millionaires are going to liquidate their holdings en-masse into one of the 3 asset classes: bonds, real estate, or physical precious metals. The first two are losing propositions presently, which only leaves the 3rd.

>>Why silver?
Ratios are important and have a historical trend associated with them. We know that historically when two of the most major adjustments have occurred 1920-30s and 70/80s, the ratio bounced close to 15:1 on silver and today the pseudo-spot price is 75:1 silver. Not withstanding the spot price being bogus, it's all we have right now as a general indicator. So comparing spot-to-spot (gold to silver) just stay in physical silver until the ratio is closer to 35:1 or lower and then diversify back into physical gold little-by-little as the ratio closes. Also depends by then which metal appears to be most fitted for wide use in world affairs. The relationship between gold and silver might actually invert, in which case I'd stick in silver for the long play. While the ratio consolidates, keep in mind both gold and silver prices may rise. I'm only talking about the relationship between the two prices.

Also failed to mention an important part, for every transaction there needs to be both a SELLER *and* a BUYER. When all the crypto millionaires exit ship, that'll have far more leverage to drive down the price and still retain some sort of margin. Any buyers will scoop up those low prices and you will have difficulty selling yours while retaining profits (if any). Once the mass exodus begins, in one day you could literally be screwed. One of the reasons crypto is so hyped is because lots of guys are holding mined coins and want to exit but have to be cautious about it. If they exit on a pump the rest of their coins are safe. If they exit prematurely, there may not be enough buyers by the time they sell all of the coins to remain net positive.

Your bitcoin is already controlled to death (size cap) and also over 50% of servers are in the hands of a few. That worries me a ton, although I generally don't blindly trust anyone so that's a personal problem of mine. I'll lay this out in one more attempt to convince you:

Your belief in holding crypto and remaining profitable is hedged on your faith that the other holders of crypto agree with your position and aren't pro investors in asset classes. I don't believe anyone can make such an assertion, so for that reason I avoid it like the plague. What I mean is, how do you know a bunch of other crypto holders decide they need stability and are OK with cutting lose to move into other areas? You might be OK sticking around, but as soon as they move, it will indirectly affect you in a big big way. Just keep that in mind. Don't be left holding the bag.

If you believe in Bitcoin over silver in any way, consider two things:

1) BTC has absolutely no use-case. It is completely worthless for transactions, and even the LN (perpetually "two years away") could service only 0.1% of the world's population. BTC can only function by tracking and tracing everything you do on second-layer software. This is why Mike Hearn left the project in disgust.

https://blog.plan99.net/the-resolution-of-the-bitcoin-experiment-dabb30201f7

2) It is very likely that Satoshi is Adam Back, the head of Blockstream. This would imply that crypto was not simply a pure project which was later corrupted by the bankers; it would imply that crypto was a banker creation from the beginning, probably to serve as a distraction from gold and silver, as well as to enslave people.

PSLV and PHYS on the stock market are liquid, and trustworthy if you trust Eric Sprott and Rick Rule, as is allocated metal which you can buy on BullionVault (only 0.50% fees, as on Coinbase for crypto).

Almost all my wealth is in junior silver miner small-caps. Like Eric Sprott, my largest position is Discovery Metals. 25% of my wealth is in bullion, but the mining stocks make up almost all my net-worth. I am all in on silver and silver miners.

Sprott capital helped them raise a shit tone of capital to reopen the 5th biggest zinc/lead/silver mine in America and 20th in the world.
When this shit moons....$5 will be great but $22 is going to happen if silver stays above 28

Checked. You sound like you get it, that's the first step. Now try to emotionally disconnect from FOMO and make the transition to silver. Your family, whatever children, and their children may benefit greatly from any long position. Imagine only having to transact an ounce or two once or twice a year to make ends meet. Could literally happen at some point.

It's total bunk. So much evidence is completely left out of that video, and a carefully crafted narrative with very select facts are cherrypicked to fit with Adam, when there is literally mountains of evidence against it. Adam Back is like the opposite of Satoshi in both goals and methods, anyone who knows the history of Bitcoin knows this.

Satoshi wanted digital cash - Adam wants e-gold
Satoshi wanted scaling on chain - Adam wants tabs and lightning
Satoshi wanted big server farms - Adam wants raspberry pis
Satoshi wanted micropayment capability - Adam celebrates high fees
Satoshi wanted instant payments - Adam disabled it
Satoshi wanted a protocol set in stone - Adam fucked the protocol beyond recognition
Satoshi wanted Gavin to carry the torch of Bitcoin forward - Adam kicked Gavin out

Just to list a few. Adam is a kike subverter hired by the CIA/MOS to prevent Bitcoin from ever scaling.

If Satoshi really cared about Bitcoin, or held lofty ideals, he never would have disappeared as he did. We can reconstruct a persona from looking at his previous messages, but the fact is, Adam Back may have merely pretended to be one person with Satoshi even though he had another agenda altogether. You can't argue with the fact that Satoshi ran off and abandoned everybody. If he isn't Adam Back, he's a coward. And a coward never would have had high principles.

There are many reasons not to want to be known as the person behind, potentially, the world's new financial system where you personally hold ~5% of the total supply.

That hardly makes me respect the man. To leave the BTC project in absolute chaos just so that he could keep his billions safe. That isn't a commitment to a lofty ideal, that's greedy cowardice. I believe that the 2015 e-mail where Satoshi attacks Hearn and Andresen is genuine. As BarelySociable says, the e-mail account wasn't hacked; and it seems to be Satoshi's writing style. That e-mail alone is good enough for me, to say nothing of 1,000 other pieces of circumstantial evidence which come together to create virtual certainty.
