It's okay fren. Most people view their coins relative to ETH or BTC for a few reasons. Many have to be bought with those coins, and when the whole marketprice fluctuates getting an accurate read of your tokens making or losing money becomes harder if you're using fiat as your base. So most people measure in sats or eths.

When BTC and ETH go up, everybody who measures their holdings relative to ETH/BTC (most people) start to 'lose' money, because now if they wanted to trade in their shitcoins, it would be for less BTC/ETH. So they quickly sell off their altcoins to buy the big 2. This triggers a panic - everyone is selling, so the price of shitcoins is dropping, and everyone is buying BTC/ETH, so the price is rising. People are getting fucked twice over.

Example: Anon trades 1 ETH for 30 pndcoins. Eth is $400 and pndcoin is $10. Lpndcoin goes up to $15 and now anon has 1.5 ETH. But then ETH goes to $800 and now anon has actually lost money, wheras if he had traded his pndcoins for eth before eth moves, he would have made a killing.

Arguably LINK will eventually stabilise to ETH and BTC when it becomes a high cap top 3 coin, and then you won't have to worry about larger price movements. But the market says link is still an altcoin, and moves inversely to the big 2.

Where do I safely store my LINKs?
Should I buy a hardware wallet (and if so what's the best one, Trezor?), or just create a wallet offline and print out the private key and words?
Also, is it too dumb to upload an encrypted text file with the private key (strong password using AES-256) to something like my personal google drive? I'm kind of scared of only having a physical backup of the private key and losing it somehow. Imagine a house fire where I lose my paper backup plus PC and USB devices.
