And it really just came out of the blue with my gf, she just texted me saying she didn't want to be with me anymore and just yesterday she was talking about how much she loved me. I'm still in shock over the whole thing, it hasn't seemed to catch on. My doggo was an 11 year old lovable mastiff, he was cuddling me when he realized I was feeling down from my gf and then suddenly he just closed his eyes and wasn't breathing. It was almost too much, he's been my best friend since I was a kid.

I second the idea of a new puppy. Dont think of it as trying to replace your old dog, but as allowing another dog the chance to live a happy and fulfilling life with you. Women will come and go throughout your life, but just remember that your old dog truly loved you from the moment you met to the moment he died. You could even consider a rescue dog and allow him/her to come along for the ride as you make it, but personally I think nothing compares with the lifelong companionship you get from raising a puppy.

Had to get my 12 year old kelpy put down when he had cancer and I wasnt able to be there as I was stuck interstate on a work trip when the pain got so bad that he couldnt walk.
