Volume means a lot of people are interested in this coin.
If there is low volume and the price is dropping it's bearish because people are disinterested in the coin and those who are agree to sell at a loss.
If there is low volume and increasing in price, it is still unnerving because it could be only a few delusional people skyrocketing the price, while the majority do not agree.
However a huge volume and a stable price means lots of people agree this is the price (we are never going down) and they are competing for the next peak.
If it is huge volume and plummeting it's a panic and everyone is selling. Huge volume and skyrocketing is also scary because it could be euphoria and overpriced. A steady climb with big volume is beautiful

I ma not sure if it happened with other coins like eth or xrp volume, but surpassing btc volume and becoming the most liquid asset on the largest exchange is definitely bullish as link has higher liquidity than coins higher on rank list. Would be good to know how much of it is real volume. Some website show that, don't remember those unfortunately
