USPS delivers front door for all Prime packages as well as Large priority mail, goofy right hand drive trucks are always pulling up to my home. UPS and FedEx have only been delivering odd man out parcels. UPS specifically has an iron grip on rural business heavies. FedEx rarely comes this far out rural, the contractors get lost an hour and half from their sort. Amazon has developed it's infrastructure to cut out a lot of the business they did with UPS, and USPS got fucking fleeced with their contract to do final mile. It's been a few years since I've worn brown so I'm sure that Amazon volume has been replaced with heavies and other parcels but years ago UPS was a glorified Amazon - USPS middle man. Just what I've witnessed personally. Good luck during peak this year man, hopefully the UPS price raises make their way to your pocket.

How do I be content with what I am making?
I honestly fucking hate waging but I know that if I stop waging, the money I can put into my investing account will go away which means I'll have less buying power to make bigger trades.

What this means is that on the inside, I'm hoping a trade of mine goes to the skies - but how can my trades go to the skies if I'm not going balls deep on OTM calls or puts?

For reference my main play is rolling the wheel on TQQQ and writing spreads on SPY. TQQQ wheel is cool, since I can make anywhere from 1-3% per week depending on how often TQQQ has an up & down week. This equates to about $550 - $1600 a week for me (and should grow as my buying power increases) but I'm impatient. And it's not like I can write additional contracts immediately you know? With that extra $550-1600 I usually write some really safe SPY spreads for like a 1.5% return on collateral.

All of this is just frustrating to me when I see people with like 300 $30c SLV options that they bought a month ago or whenever my own plays fall face flat ($SNAP calls based on TikTok ban, $AAL puts based on lack of bailout news).

How can I escape the wage? Will I ever escape the wage? If I hit low 7 figures someday, I'll just live off wheeling some shit like Amazon. I don't need a house, I'll just rent. Fuck having a family. But I can't get there fast enough with a 5 figure account. I'm too impatient. And all this volatility is bound to blow over as well, so those 1-3% weekly gains won't be a thing anymore.

This means I need to make it big before the market crawls to stable conditions again. Do I just YOLO it all on something and off myself if it fails?

You should probably do wheel on QQQ rather than TQQQ. Option pricing is the same relative to the underlying and volatility on either instrument but QQQ has better liquidity. That said, I really don't recommend doing the wheel at all, just buy and hold TQQQ. If you want more action, do 4x QQQ via deep itm options.
3% a week is pretty rubbish. That's 156% in a year during the fastest, most predictable movement you'll ever see. You'd already be up 131.3% if you had just bought and hold at the march lows. Easy ~300-500% this year.

This is a whole different situation. It's the action of the fed that's causing all of this "bubble".

The bubble pops when inflation rises too quickly based on feds standards. Especially if they raise interest rates.

My guess is a few months after a vaccine in 2021.

Too much liquidity and stimulus over the last 12 years. We also are having far left wackos who can't grasp monetary policy getting popular (See AOC, Sanders & politicans from New York and California). Which will inevitable lead to more spending in the future.

Well the Fed has said that a year from now interest rates won't be raised, and banks have tightened lending qualifications. Spitballing but I would say if you had a down payment and loan approval a year from now you'd be getting in pretty damn good depending on the property. Housing market and stock market are not connected, don't listen to that guy. CDs pay jack fucking shit, less than a percent, and Fed has gone full inflation. Yes. You give the buyer of your call the potential "infinite upside" of all stocks within a time frame in exchange for a premium. Just as long as the expiry and strike aren't chosen very poorly you are also unlikely to be assigned. You're making things complicated for no reason while skipping over important factors.
If you buy 500 shares of ABC at $50, you can sell up to 5 calls.
A call is a contract to sell a stock (x100 shares usually) at a certain price before or on a certain date (it can be exercised at any point in time, or never).
Therefore, if you sell 1 call at a strike of $55 for $1 expiring next week, you immediately pocket $100 (100 x $1). From then on, you effectively don't care about the strike anymore, only the date. If the contract expires worthless, you keep the premium, otherwise you will most likely (but rarely, this doesn't happen) get exercised, which means you will execute the contract, i.e. sell 100 of your 500 shares for $55 each. In that event, your total gains are $100 + $5 x 100 = $600. This is fact.
Of course if at the time you get exercised, the underlying was worth $60, you still end up selling at $55 so you lose a potential $400 profit ($500 - $100 from the premium you received eitherway). But that's potential value, it has nothing to do with your actual bottom line.
If the underlying went down to $45, however, you are down $400 ($500 - $100 from the premium received eitherway) instead of being down $500. On the other hand, it is trickier to close the position (you can buy back the contract you sold for less than you sold at, generating meager profit, and close your position at a more substantial loss, if you believe the trend will keep going).

The problem is that if the option becomes near or at the money, the cost to buy back is higher than the value of the stock, basically forcing you to hold it until expiration, time value decays, or the stock dips.
For example:
You have a stock at $50 and sell a call at strike $55 for $1 in a month.
If the stock goes up to $54 in 2 weeks (meaning there are 2 weeks until the option expires), the value of the option will probably be around $2.
This means to buy back your calls, it would have to pay twice as much as you sold them for, even though the stock is under the strike price.
The reason this occurs is because of time value. Time value is what gives an option value even though its worthless to execute it. The closer an option is to expiring, the less time value it has, ie it decays. When you sell an option, you benefit from time value decay, which means as long as the stock rises slower than the value of the time decay, you make a profit. This is why buying options is so risky, because then time value decay works against you.
In simple terms:
Selling call options means you make money if the stock goes down, side ways, or up slower than time decay.
Buying call options means you only make money if the stock value outpaces time decay.
Of these two strategies, its clear that selling call options has far less risk (assuming covered calls)

As an option buyer, you typically want volatility (which translates to demand for your contract) to surge to levels much higher than when you originally purchased the contract. As an option writer (seller), you typically want volatility to plummet from when you originally sold it.
This is why THE number one rookie mistake is to buy options contracts near earnings.

If you plan on flipping your bought contract, the IV crush after earnings will typically wipe out your potential gains from the leverage. The uncertainty is gone because the earnings are now known. Better to have been the writer in that case.
>>21161473
The three things that matter roughly for any options contract is volatility, strike, and expiry. The premium reflects all 3 in non-linear and changing ways. The strike and expiry together determine its explicit and implicit value and the volatility provides demand (and thus, liquidity)
For an options buyer you are basically trying to time volatility swings. You don't want to buy when vola is high, because most stocks don't tend to be wildly erratic all the time, and settle to some kind of equilibrium eventually within a few days. The vola will sink and demand for your contract will plummet. Instead, you want to be holding a contract before there is an unexpected surge in volatility.
The KODK pieces of shit did that by purchasing calls right before the announcement of the loan and made enormous amounts of money from the gigantic vola spike afterwards. But that was only a surefire bet because it was basically insider trading. If you don't have inside knowledge that is basically trying to predict the future. And its the reason why options writers tend to be the winners.

I see, thanks for the input.

Extremely Bullish on UPS and Fedex.

They're both going to profit heavy on this as shipping is going to be NUTS this upcoming winter.

Don't have to worry about USPS as the new Postmaster is forcing workers to only work 8 hours a day. Most packages are going to be delayed if shipped through USPS.

Also, Amazon delivery drivers SUCK. The good ones move to higher paying postitions in FedEx and UPS anyways. Only former criminals hold Amazon delivery positions.

Even then, the amount of packages that Amazon delivers CONSTANTLY has to be contracted out. They cannot handle the sheer volume of their own packages, especially this upcoming winter.

UPS & FEDEX to 200.

No, In an option, you are betting it will go to a certain price. The amount of people within that option and the volume are determining that the price will be at x by y date. Agree that Trump needs to call for an early debate. He will easily destroy Biden face-to-face. However, I think Trump still has it in the bag. More people come out to vote for him in the Primary, than do for Biden, and Trump is an incumbent. Also, look at how many people watch him whenever he has ANY presser. Meanwhile, Biden can't get more than 100 people at any one time to watch his announcements.

Furthermore, The Democracts want to lose this race. If they win, they will have to actually perform - which they don't want to do. It's much easier to just complain, and say how Trump and Conservatives are wrong (and evil). They want him to win, so they can be even more radical in 4 years when they can run Michelle Obama and win handily.

Either way, it's all been priced into the market already, so don't worry about it ;)
