Do our governments even give a shit about this? I think Kraken only reports you to the FED, not to some backwater country.

I'm from Romania and 99% of our banks are private. It looks like my government doesn't have the resources and know-how to track me unless a bank or an exchange tells them directly.
I'm new to doing my own taxes and reporting my gains, normally my thieving government takes 40% of your raw salary automatically. So them supposedly taxing JUST 10% of my crypto gains is very generous of them.

I'm in Estonia. Afaik the capital gains tax or whatever it's called when you buy and sell stocks is around 20%. That includes crypto. However for dividends it's like about 10% I think. Since we have no taxes on company's revenue(meaning only the divs to the shareholders are taxed), I think I might be able to setup some meme company, transfer my LINK to the company name and then I could buy property without paying tax and maybe buy a company car without paying tax. Idk I have to do more research, but I think it works this way.

>> No.21129803

The issue only becomes real when you cash out the value of that. If you cash out $1000 then no one is going to come after you. But if one day you cash out $1M+ the bank and tax authorities are going to see this, and if you’ve not previously declared this a big fucking red flag is going to go off. Be smart.

So as a newfag why don't governments do the taxes for you if they are capable of reading how much you've gained and where from? All they do is just look into your bank account when you put in over 10k euros in it. Why don't they tax you when they see "10,000 received from Localbitcoins, Kraken, Coinbase, etc." should I try to cash out 10k to see if they'll send me a letter? or they hope I forget about it and they'll try to jail me and take the cash?

I live in Belarus and there is no tax on crypto at all. But it's probably too hard to prove to our retarded tax department that you really got this profits from crypto and nothing else. Most of the people here use Localbitcoins anyway, and don't fuck with banks

>> No.21131748

Alright so I can cash out under 5000 euros in my bank accounts through KYC exchanges like Kraken or the trash that is localbitcoins (I've already bought 1500 euros worth of BTC and cashed out 3000 euros in and out for 3 years now so I was wondering why isn't anyone telling me anything, neither the bank nor the government).
I suppose Patreon and Kickstarter+Indiegogo aren't yet extra taxed by my government, not even by the american government.

Localbitcoin traders try to make you sell your bitcoins for 10% less than they're worth so they can make a profit trading the difference.

I can use Dai, crypto backed by gold(excellent during the bear market), Doge, Monero, (yes Doge is a privacy coin) (they all have some good liquidity unless you're cashing out 100 million dollars at once)
https://cryptobriefing.com/top-5-gold-backed-cryptocurrency-tokens/
If I want to try to keep my 10%, would still have to cash out small sums.

Or I can go to https://grayscale.co to cash out anything above 300k and make things official. I don't have any other official incomes so I won't pay health insurance tax.
Even if I do I can use the other family members accounts who are 18 but still in college or just not employed if I want to avoid that tiny bit of extra tax.

Less cross fingers and consider that sooner than later we won't need to "cash out".
Once the gov issued fiat pseudo-cryptos are out, and the bridges between those and stables get blurred, it will be easier to avoid taxation, and I would expect taxation to be more relaxed for this very reason. Still years of waiting tho.

How do you retards not know your own tax laws?

>> No.21132234

Because the government doesn't know their own fucking laws. They're made to be as subjective as possible so your lawyers have what to work with so they can get you out of anything.

i don't actually know. But I think there is no crypto tax in Portugal and Slovenia as well. And it's probably easier to open a company there

I'm curious about those european funds. Eastern Europe doesn't offer you even a measly 10k to fund your shitty book, meanwhile America offers from 300k and beyond.

As a fellow Romanian you must be objectively retarded to risk everything for a 10% tax, you fucking brainlet. The government always wins in the end.
