I don't think this necessarily means a full-on crash. The issue is that FAANG stocks are incredibly overvalued. What happened during the flu hoax was that everyone wanted to transfer their assets from other stocks into a "safe bet" like apple or amazon. But the thing is that EVERYONE had this exact same idea, so those stocks get pumped up way higher. Not because of fundamentals with the company, but just because everyone is acting like lemmings following the leader.

There's no way Bezos isn't aware of this. Might as well siphon the wealth out now before the FAANG bubble pops and people put their money into other stocks/assets.

Now, I do believe that there will be an eventual overall reckoning for the markets because the current ponzi can't go on forever, but I don't think that will happen just yet.
