Is Digital Identity the new Defi? Is $BRDG the ETH new gem token. Is it the new $LINK?

The objective of this thread is to educate about Digital Identity possibilities in the Blockchain.

Self-sovereign identity system makes you in control of your identity. This will be an essential part of DeFi and regulated blockchain. Bridge Protocol is an American company for about three years now, but only recently they have released their product on Ethereum. There is no doubt that this will be the next big thing.

>> No.21049819

indeed, SSI is the new hype in crypto. No SSI, no DeFi. No SSI no mass adoption and Bridge has been working for 3 years on it. The results are there.

For sure! Imagine a micro cap that is actually a US based company working on the project for a long time already, working product, but they just went unnoticed because they were only on NEO and didn't do any marketing. sorry, but DYOR. I'm just here trying to educate people about SSI, not a financial advisor.

My idea is anyway to write threads/twits for long term (There was a guy writing threads from BTC from 2010 to 2014).

There are not many information about SSI, KYC, Digital Identity related to blockchain. The subject is still in its infancy and Bridge and Aver have several blogs, twitters on the topic. So it will be difficult not to talk about Bridge when combining Blockchain and Digital Identity.

This is not scam or bot. Just someone very interested about blockchain and there will be no mass adoption and DeFi without SSI

Sure... another random token that has been developed after the 2017-2018 bubble, hasn't been worked on in weeks, the team seems to have abandoned it for another company, and now it's suddenly pumping and you're encouraging people to buy at the ATH.

Doesn't sound fishy at all.

>> No.21052396

>>21052049
thanks for your comments. It gives me some points to clarify:

1. ATH was 10x today's price.
2. They did version 1, version 2 and now launched version 3 of the product (check github)
3. SSI (Bridge) can't survive without KYC (Aver). KYC is centralized as you need to have the doc files for possible authorities audits (no blockchain need), SSI is decentralized and manageable by the user (excellent blockchain use). this is also very good explained by their chef dev in the podcast attached

no fishy at all, please come back in one month and we will be still talking about this topic.

SSI ist one of the biggest problems that has to be solved and can be solved via blockchain. it's a door opener to DeFi and DeEn for mass adoption, because no government will allow DeFi and DeEn without a proper Identification on the long run.

I've seen a lot projects that got canceled because of its KYC-problems and SSI via BRDG would have been a solution.

SSI will be the next Hype that will be as big as the DeFi-Hype. Bridge is in a really good position to get a big piece of the SSI-cake in future.

If you want to be decentralized and independent you need a token in a decentralized exchange where people can buy it. The service is pegged in USD and the tokens you have to pay are converted against it.
SSI is also something anonymous.
For example: Can you imagine someone having to use the credit card to acquire a SSI to access adult content?
Do you konw how many people do not have a credit card?
Do you know how many people believe banks are out and the future is Defi?

But maybe you are missing their use case. Their intention is not really to let people buy their own SSI passport. Instead, let the third-party services pay for their clients.

Set up an exchange? Need your users to do KYC? Then you can load up with BRDG tokens and create an allowance that your users can use to do KYC without them ever having to touch BRDG. Sure they can also do that directly, but the big revenue will come from third parties. You can get a lot of this information from their Github and documentation.
For example here:
https://github.com/bridge-protocol/bridge-protocol-js/blob/c9a9cd07a149bd46897905ea9fa1b133af394197/src/utils/ethereum.js

>> No.21055720

>>21055571
To expand on this.

Onfido received 210M USD in funding, they are making millions in revenue every month by doing KYC. Probably anyone involved in crypto used Onfido on multiple occasions for doing KYC.

Onfido is now in a lot of debt because they have 400 employees and 210M in funding, against 30M revenue per year. They cannot lower their prices and eventually they will lose against new lean and mean companies like Bridge Protocol and other SSI projects.

If even only 1% of that Onfido revenue is going to Bridge Protocol their market cap will explode and they will be a top 100 coin. Now imagine 5% to 10% of Onfido revenue going to Bridge Protocol. This is the potential we are looking at

BRDG is extremely undervalued.

You nailed it. Let me add one thing. As market place provider BRIDGE remains with 100 BRDG as fee for the service. Therefore more market players more deflationary will be the token. Bridge corporation is an US based open- source technology company.

The Bridge SDK is an open-source JavaScript library that exposes all functionality of the Bridge Protocol, Bridge Network, and Bridge Smart Contract functionality on the Ethereum and NEO blockchains.

If you are a dev, check here how to use it:
https://bridge-protocol.github.io/docs/sdk

Profit oriented companies may use Bridge technology to start (or to add) a business in the Bridge Market Place. The technology is available and it is free and the token as payment is also available. Only a network fee is retained per transaction as commented before.

Anyway, I hope I could clarify some doubts. I invite you all to check the complete documentation about the Protocol, how to add it to your company needs or how to use it peer to peer.

here is everything explained:

I agree with you. We see however several scams outside in DeFi. Regulators are also not sleeping.

Therefore, DeFi will need some kind of verification (there is already regulations on it). This is why Bridge works on "authorization" (SSI). You don't have to identify yourself, but to show that you're authorized to work with it.

We are at the beginning regarding SSI and Bridge corporation is building the technology for it.

For KYC, that can also be covered by Bridge (with Aver KYC checks), it is already a reality for several business possibilities. I'm sure you have done already several KYCs check in your life (you probably are not aware).

to sum up. Bridge offers solution for SSI (future) and KYC (now)
