I'd say it's not ironic, and, they don't "control" the supply. They sell them off to raise funds, driving the project, while also releasing the tokens into the open market, giving the stock-to-flow ratio buoyancy without creating gluts or shortages, which gives the token stability over time.

Are these tokens hardcoded locked? Because they aren't dude. They have full autonomy to do whatever they like with the premined bags, which I think is maybe a relic from 2017 era ICOs but it makes the governance model look joke tier in comparison to some defi projects coming on the scene right now.

I have been in LINK since 2017. While the governance model has been discussed, nobody has really discussed it in light of new approaches to governance which weren't available in 2017. Why does everything have to have an ulterior motive? But to talk to you about Chainlink in its current state. I think the only ulterior motive you have to watch out for is from the chainlink team.

Chainlink in my opinion is the ultimate PnD. All their partnerships are basically just marketing tools, like the google cloud advocate and them acting like its a partnership with google instead of just a article on new tech in the sphere. Only a matter of time before the demand dries up.

$100 is realistic in a 2017 tier bull run scenario desu based on speculative hype. The biggest potential FUD is staking going live and the yield being shit compared to alternatives in defi, cause then alot will potentiall sell up and move to seek higher yield elsewhere.
