Is it not ironic that Chainlink has ambitions to become the foundation of decentralized finance whilst simultaneously having 65% of their token premined under control of one man / team which you are expected to trust because reasons?

I'd say it's not ironic, and, they don't "control" the supply. They sell them off to raise funds, driving the project, while also releasing the tokens into the open market, giving the stock-to-flow ratio buoyancy without creating gluts or shortages, which gives the token stability over time.

Are these tokens hardcoded locked? Because they aren't dude. They have full autonomy to do whatever they like with the premined bags, which I think is maybe a relic from 2017 era ICOs but it makes the governance model look joke tier in comparison to some defi projects coming on the scene right now.

I have been in LINK since 2017. While the governance model has been discussed, nobody has really discussed it in light of new approaches to governance which weren't available in 2017. Why does everything have to have an ulterior motive? You do realise in 2017 people used to ACTUALLY discuss LINK fundamentals here and it wasn't just sub 50k stack poverty linkers posting the same half-digested memes created in an era they weren't even a part of right?

most of the people on this board now arent the same ones in the 2017 run.

Chainlink was always a newfag filter so anyone here now is well, a newfag.

Good point, it is a shame all of the good discussion left here. I'll leave these fags to post rehashed memes and circle jerk for the next 3 years waiting for their microbags to pump so their real lives can start.

2017 era /biz/ really was a one off huh?

Honestly 2013 biz was a one off. 2017 Biz was crazy for making money off crypto in hindsight if you didnt care about losing anything.

But to talk to you about Chainlink in its current state. I think the only ulterior motive you have to watch out for is from the chainlink team.

Chainlink in my opinion is the ultimate PnD. All their partnerships are basically just marketing tools, like the google cloud advocate and them acting like its a partnership with google instead of just a article on new tech in the sphere. Only a matter of time before the demand dries up.

>> No.21004031

I remember pre-crypto biz when it was all affiliate marketing and poker shit lol. Early 2017 biz was when I became super active here and yes there was nufags like those ITT autistically screeching about anything they perceive as an attack on their cult, pajeets, scams etc, but still within all of that the board was still 30-50% solid discussion. I guess all that needed to be said about LINK before it pumped and retail laggards bought in had been said and discussion left here for discord?

I still think LINK is a 3 figure token within next few years but fuck man they need to sort their governance model out, it is utter shit tier.

thats still new biz though, although there is no cult following for eth anymore and its mostly just pumping alt coins.

Their governance model is definitely old biz pnd fud material. Realistically though where do you see chainlink going? who is going to be using it in the future?

The topic of the thread is the Dumbest Short in Crypto, a tale of retarded hubris and total misunderstanding of a business situation

You could've shorted literally any other token and had success. With Link you've got something that a) not only has a unique use case but is absolutely necessary for DeFi, but b) has the most autistic, impervious holder base who wouldn't sell when LINK was priced in cents, and now, years later, when we're all holding huge bags in massive massive profit, you want to try to convince us it's all a scam! Coincidentally at the same time a huge LINK short position was opened on AAVE!

lol. Why didn't you short Ripple, you absolute moron. That would've worked and you would've gotten rich.

Now, a year later, we'll be even richer, and laughing at the moron who tried to short LINK in 2020. Enjoy your conversation with your sockpuppet here though.

Hey, maybe you should take out some more Twitter ads! HAHAHAHAHAHA

$100 is realistic in a 2017 tier bull run scenario desu based on speculative hype. The biggest potential FUD is staking going live and the yield being shit compared to alternatives in defi, cause then alot will potentiall sell up and move to seek higher yield elsewhere. Staking is probably the last thing to launch desu because there is no speculation anymore at that point.

Lol I have this mildly, i was born with it, I'm strong af with everything except over head shit. I trashed normies playing rugby, girls actually complement me on my posture as weird as that sounds. I have a very muscular back to hold it all together though.

The only downside as far as I can tell is that I'd be 6 foot 1-2 if I was normal. I'm still 6 foot though.
It took a while but I'm very happy being a mutant

lmao I bet you wish you HAD done some reading here -- then you would've known how suicidally stupid you'd have to be to hatch a business plan that revolves around convincing a bunch of rich high-IQ autists that they're really victims of an intricate, years-long scam that apparently involves slowly building a worthless shitcoin over years and years and years into a top 10 mcap token, when the alternate explanation for you showing up all of a sudden is that you're shorting the shit out of LINK and trying to drive the price down.

Enjoy bankruptcy <3
