From my experience with SGB as a leaf, under normal circumstances they have shipped within a day of receiving payment. I've had a few outliers which I've deduced is either they're getting a large number or orders, and/or they are pre-selling product they're expected to receive but don't yet have in their warehouse.

I’ve had 2 scenarios with this. The first one I emailed their support asking about my 1 week late shipment and was informed the Asashi bars I had in the order had been held up and only just arrived at their warehouse and my order would be shipped soon.

The second scenario was back in April I believe where I ordered some Britannias and it must’ve been at least a few weeks before I got a call from SGB apologizing for delay and offering to substitute the Britannias with another coin so they could get my order shipped out as evidently they didn’t have any Britannias and didn’t expect to receive more anytime soon. I ended up getting some ASEs for the price of Brtiannias though so I wasn’t upset.

I have $3k to start my stack. Should I buy 1oz gold and spend the rest on silver or just go all in on silver? I’m leaning towards gold but I honestly don’t know much about PMs. Just looking to hedge my stock positions a bit.

If someone doesn’t have *any* gold, I would still recommend buying at least an Oz...except in the situation where 100 Oz is a big deal to you. Not everyone can stack at the same rate. So if 1 Oz of gold represents a serious I vestment first you, you are better served continuing to stack silver with the aim of trading that silver for gold later. Both gold and silver are ultimately undervalued, but I personally think silver is more undervalued and the silver:gold ratio still too high. So continuing with silver makes sense for those in your circumstances. Maybe stick to 10 Oz bars with low premiums since this would be silver you plan to trade sooner than your first 100 Oz. You stand to lose less than if you pay higher premiums for 1 Oz rounds.
