short term, maybe, probably will break $8 again and go up to $8.50 or so, so if you've got a good amount, buy in and sell at a profit $8.50+ if it can break $7.50
long term, no. other oracles growing in the space like band and with link's giant issues, being completely centralized for one, it's risky to hold long term imo. competition seems to be catching up to link faster while also not confining companies to the eth blockchain.
but everyone's speculating, DYOR and good luck

yes, it's a good buy in the short term. possibly even in the long term because the best tech isn't always the best priced and it's all based on how many people are willing to buy it, and right now, link is the hot thing.
that being said, dyor and come to your own conclusion. link's got issues, it's not perfect, and it's competitors have easier implementation for integration and better tech, so if i were you, i'd look into those, but link is a safer bet because in crypto, tech really doesn't matter, it's just all about hype.
and as far as hype goes, link's got a ton of it, so yes, it is a good buy imo. i still hold link and probably will unless it can't break $8 within the next week or so.
still, dyor and come to your own conclusions, it's literally your hard earned money, you should decide for yourself on what you've learned and what you can observe on the market and the investors and the tech and all that.

these are also very good points that i did forget to mention for anyone interested in buying link.
a little bit of caution though, apparently when you integrate with chainlink, you sign an agreement that you're not allowed to speak of other oracles you're using and can only mention chainlink as your only oracle to anyone outside of the company. which is a very aggressive marketing strategy by chainlink which should be looked at as something possibly negative in the long term because most companies are using multiple oracles for redundancy, and that's what's recommended with oracles. so chainlink doing this is something to keep in mind. it's good for suppressing competition and keeping all eyes on them, but with more companies interested in integrating with a crypto based oracle nowadays, this news may come out and negatively affect the price of link. i only say this because they're not putting tech first by doing this. you have band for example, when they integrate with a company, they tell them to go and integrate with chainlink as well, and any other oracles past that because they want redundancy to ensure the best possible service for their client.
so there's some food for thought. but yes, for the near future (and i'm talking maybe even years) chainlink should be able to dominate with this strategy bringing the price of link to even the $20 range within the next few months.
again, this is all speculation, so always dyor people.

bandshiller? naw i don't own any band. i been thinking about buying some but they don't really have any notable integrations. even if they're more compatible with companies (easier to integrate), they don't have anything going on to try to capture any of the oracle marketshare.
i also want to buy tellor but i don't know enough about them yet.
that's why i only own link, i'm super careful in investing my money since i'm not rich to begin with, so it takes me a while to invest in things and i heard about link back in 2017 and got in early 2018 and i'm glad i did, it's the only time i've been far ahead of the curve.
that's why i tell everyone dyor, it's really important in crypto investing/trading especially since so many coins/tokens look so good on paper and even have some great 'partnerships' and whatnot, but in the end it might all just be on paper.
anyway, i'm out for the day. i wonder why i even come here every day still. there used to be actual critical conversation on stuff we owned here, now its just shill threads and people defending what they own by calling others shills.
i'll be back tomorrow no doubt tho, it's like a drug. not a fun one anymore, but still a drug i guess.
