We reached and then surpassed previous highs in February when everyone was complaining about how overpriced things were considering corporate profits and debt.
Now profits are worse and the sugar high is fading from the Fed, and its becoming clear that "PENT UP DEMAND" was an emperor with no clothes the whole time as we reach Q3.
So now fear of inflation pumps the markets in almost direct proportion with demand for the dollar. But there is also a fear that deflation will win which is why the 10 yr keeps banging off its march low. But the treasuries are such garbage that even boomer rocks, that have zero return, are still better than negative real returns from treasuries.
