Please, enlightened ones, tell me how the whole clown system works.
I've been trying to daytrade for half a year, and I have 0 profit. Everything I Long or Short, regardless of the chart and TA goes the opposite direction. Every time. I've tried every strategy, every risk management, I studied the market thoroughly and I'm coming to conclusion it's literally impossible if you're not an insider. Either that, or I'm just a sub 70 IQ fucking neurotic retard, who's impatient and therefore not profitable.
Lay it out bois, is it Jews? Whales? Insiders? I need more self-aware and mature people than me, to explain it to me.
As I understood, you just need to steal money on the governmental level, so you'd have substantial initial margin to manipulate the normies on the market, or you could sell a course on how to make it as a trader.

You are competing against the best in the world on a merit based, darwinian playing field. The odds are monumentally stacked against you, even if you are a genius you are up against 50 geniuses working together. Day trading is not for retail, all those youtube gurus are paid by brokers to get dumb money into the market to fleece. You should stop immediately and consider yourself lucky you broke even, thats a feat after a year.

You name a bunch of strategies being employed (and imply they are cheating), but when money is on the table, peiple pull out all the stops.
I would suggest you listen to a bunch of episodes of chat with traders podcast to convince yourself that there are many people who consistently win at trading and no 2 strategies are the same. You don't tell the market what's right or wrong, you study her and ride her waves, or lose your money.

Honestly it sounds like you should just do the opposite of what your final decision is. Or, when you get to a decision point, then ask yourself, "what do I see that would contradict this," and then do a little bit more thinking, because you might be getting 95% of the way there.

I tried doing it with 1500 in stocks and 700 in crypto almost a year ago. Was doing pretty decent, but didn't take hard enough risks. Then came the market crash and now I find myself 33% in the hole in the stock market. Funny enough, I doubled my crypto by doing nothing but hold. I just recently took my initial investment in crypto and moved it into silver. I studied the stock furiously for months and the memes are true: market stays rational as long as long as you can remain solvent, develop iron hands, "buy the dip, faggot," etc. As long as you just put on the table only what you're willing to lose it helps to remove the eventual emotional burnout.

i also cant figure out at what point you can declare yourself "profitable". is there a minimum number of trades? if i make 1 good trade and never trade again am i a profitable trader? it doesnt make sense.

I've been a forex trader, been successful for the better part of ten years now.
I have several accounts and make between $50-100/day in each account on average. I've limited my everyday spending to the point where I pretty much have two years worth of living just in one bank account.
You learn to control your emotions, your frivolous spending and treat your day trading like A BUSINESS. That means discipline, spreadsheets, budgets, all of it.
My suggestion is if you find yourself in a rut to try and get a part time job somewhere like landscaping or driving---something just to get you out of the house, it'll focus your time a bit better over the long run.
And no drugs or alcohol during the week...limit it to weekends, if ever.
I've made between 2-300k over the past few years and have been able to take fantastic vacations. It's doable, just clear your mind and focus. And try to steer clear of crypto, its too volatile and scammy to day trade, but hodl if you can't get away from crypto.

Of course nobody can predict the future but you can make educated guesses. Understanding the fundamentals is KEY, which you should have at least a glimmer of before you spend a single dime on a project. Is this (in your opinion) a $100m idea that just blew past $130m mcap? That's where the informed guessing comes into it. You need solid, reasonable answers to the following questions

>having researched this, how much do I think this thing is potentially worth
>by what percentage could I be overestimating that?
>what's the current market value?
>are people slowly buying into this, or is this clearly a stampede?

Once you have the answers to these, you have a very good chance of making the correct decision.

Also of course there is no such thing as a perfect trade, I've sold out and watched stuff double again after that. But I made a very healthy profit even on that one, and selling early has saved me from a dozen vicious losses if I hadn't slipped out of the stampede before it reached the cliff.

One of the main things that keeps poor people poor is the belief in luck.

Successful people say "man, I got lucky" because they don't want to sound like smug assholes, when what really happened was "I read the shit out of everything related to this until I got a decent idea of what could happen, bet huge on myself being right, went through a period of fucking agony when it seemed like I was wrong and was going to lose everything but I refused to break down and cash out, and then I was eventually proven totally right and made a fuckton of money"

I mean, luck doesn't exist and can't exist if you think about it for a second

>>20774025

I'm a believer in BTC, long-term. The price has been getting fucked by shorts for a year now, so I see it inevitably in the 6 figures in the next few years, 2023-24. That's guy feeling.

I think right now it's being manipulated by massively leveraged short/long traders. If you short the shit out of BTC at 11,000 with huge leverage and it goes down to 9,100, you make huge money. Then you flip long and make huge money all the way up to 10,000 again, where you flip short etc.

People made a fucking fortune this way. We'll see if this time, it's a genuine breakout, in which case I'd say BTC will become a very attractive investment for the next few years.

But I might be wrong.

A little DD (due diligence) on a company to make sure that it isn't going to go tits up can go a long way. Any reputable organization releases earnings reports and even shows how much money they have in surplus, which can help you value the true value of the stock. That can be done overnight on a handful of companies, or even within 10 minutes if it's just one you're specifically eyeballing. If they have money and don't spend money like a woman overall it can be worth a long term hold if you get dumped on.

Which leads me to this: if you're trading, there's a difference between swing trading and day trading. Swing trading leaves you less vulnerable to getting rekt because you're at the very least in it for some period of time. And try to swing something with a dividend, so if you do get Bog'd, you can at least get an consolation prize of sorts while you ride it out, to either DCA into or divert into something that may be a better opportunity.

This is all shit I've learned (the hard way) over the last 9 months. I'm just being patient and accumulating more knowledge, because more opportunities will reveal themselves. I'll get out of the hole eventually.

"Luck" describes an event that you didn't understand. It's at best a statement about the limit of the human brain's ability to comprehend the Universe. Or at least about human intentions combined with the limits of understanding.

We each bet $10,000 on the flip of a coin. It comes up heads and you win. Lucky for you, unlucky for me. But, if you built a robot that could duplicate my hand motion precisely, from the same position, in the same location with the same conditions, it would flip that coin to heads 100% of the time. The second it left the tosser's hand it was always going to come up heads. It's math.

If you pull a lever on a slot machine, the RNG inside comes up with a number that corresponds to an outcome on an internal table that wins money or doesn't. Lucky you (or not)! But if you pulled the lever at that precise moment the RNG would come up with the same number. Math.

Then there's all those "lucky shots" that were in fact the product of huge investments of time to build skill, etc etc. Outlier events were caused by a rational process. That, long term, they were unlikely is irrelevant -- they were inevitable. If you'd been able to see the causes happening and intelligently interpret what they would've done, you would've predicted the outlier event. Maybe no human could, but that doesn't mean anything other than the limits of human understanding of the Universe.

If you want to get rich, first stop believing in luck. "Luck" is a word that stops you from thinking

Like you were saying about certain events: this year has been probably the best lesson in the stock market anyone could ask for. A flash crash is prime buying opportunity, not time to cash out and take a loss. My problem is that I cashed out and tried putting into shit I thought had a better chance of recovery. I made the retard move of REITs, but with DCA and dividends I broke even on NLY recently, moved that money into QYLD to get a fatter dividend payout for riding out however long this takes. Doesn't matter if I bought the absolute top of something, you can always get out if you're patient, and develop a strategy and stick with it. Shit, that's just life in general

lmao that'd be like an elephant tripping over a single bacterium

More involved are atmospheric conditions and the way the edge of the coin, which is imperfect, interacts with the floor, which is also imperfect. But those are hard to model, not impossible. That's where predictability comes in, but predictability is again just a way of getting somewhat accurate results with human limitations.

Same with any computer RNG, of course they can't actually generate a random number because random numbers don't exist. They just take the last few digits from the CPU clock at a random snapshot, since the clock ticks in billions of cycles per second, which FOR US is good enough to be random.

I mean, an asteroid might wipe out all life in France tomorrow, what an unlucky day. But of course the asteroid has been on the course that sent it into Lyons for millions and millions of years.

This. A million calm people actually form a fairly genius-level evaluator of value, which is why the market works. But get people all riled up with a bubble or a flash crash and they get unbelievably stupid. Then, doing the exact opposite is generally free money.

lol, I don't need to justify my world view -- I'm trying to help you, a stranger, for FREE, get to where I am. If you don't want to, that's fine.

I will, one last time, say that there are many times where things have happened, and if I'd said, "wow, that was lucky/unlucky" and gone onto something else, I would not be where I am today. It's because I said "now how the fuck did this all happen" and starting digging into the causes that I gained enough understanding to reliably make money. When I lose, it wasn't luck, it was that I didn't understand what was going on. When I win, great, but I still want to better understand what happened.

And I've noticed the same attitude with other people who've been successful. Losers complain about all the bad luck they have, successes want to understand what is happening.
