European law. Companies must delete unnecessary data about a customer or former customer if they are asked to do so. The problem (or advantage) with blockchain is that data and blocks cannot be deleted which is by design. Lition has found a way around this by combining the blockchain with a distributed database. The blocks store the hashes for the database. Data can be deleted off the database but the hashes and the blocks remain.

A GDPR compliant blockchain is excellent for European companies (like SAP) to use.

yes, I think it's a good number. It really depends more on what you mean by "making it" than on the cost of living in your area, but still 100k LIT should be enough - in the long term - for anyone. In many cases 50k would be more than enough.

It's like a roll out, they run their own very successful energy business on the same "platform" that plenty of other companies will use later.

And don't even get me started on their bank partnership and government publicity.

"Rollout' is great phrasing. They built an energy business to figure out how to build a perfect blockchain for actual businesses in Lition's stringent regulatory environment. Of course there were snags on the blockchain side! They are building something big. Patience will be rewarded.
