A lot of it has merit in one way or another (as in, it's not TOTAL bs) how much it's a scam depends on person to person. It's totally possible to visit a therapist every week for years and be basically no better off than if you just talked to a friend. Often life coaches - so long as they aren't big and overhyped - are way better because they have to endure the market and provide actual solutions/success to their clients.
