I think it's a good idea to hold ETH long term, say 3-5 years so even longer than what that guy you replied to is thinking. ETH2.0 launching and slowly eating the rest of the crypto space and maybe even some sections of the traditional market will not happen for a while. Think of it like buying Amazon in 1998 right now. SUre you can sell early and make a nice return, but if you really believe ETH is destined for great things, it will absolutely explode in price in the mid term future.

It’s an entirely different layer and mechanism from what ETH does.

IF 2.0 is smooth ETH retains first mover advantage and out of simplicity it will remain the defacto transfer layer for LINK.

If 2.0 is shit there are enough emerging competitors that it will lose it’s first mover advantage and LINK COULD (not necessarily will) provide its services on other newer, faster, cheaper transfer layers.
