ok, so everybody realises by now that AMPL behaves like a commodity. just like BTC, 0xBTC, or any other generic token with a fixed supply.

what matters is your proportion held of the total commodity stock, and the supply and demand interaction which effectively gives a value for the total commodity stock, the market cap. this is the pons asinorum of commodity crypto valuation, if you don’t understand this part then stop reading now and find the smartest explanation of this concept that you can comprehend.

the magical retarded logic of AMPL effectively claims that the rebase event, which is mechanically simple in its effect, entirely known in advance, and having zero effect on the relative proportions of the commodity stock held by each holder, will somehow cause the total commodity stock to be valued differently after the rebase event than before it.

there is absolutely no reason that this would happen, other than the wild actions taken by uninformed holders who are under the impression that something actually changed during the rebase.

I have previously referred to AMPL as a generic commodity with a ‘variable denominator’, and that is exactly what it is.

the variable denominator has no effect besides confusing uninformed holders. the only way AMPL becomes stable in any way is if custodians allow balances to be denominated in fixed quantities of AMPL, thus taking on the upside and downside risk for their customers, giving a greater degree of value preservation. is anybody offering this? please do note that the exact same service can be obtained by hedging any other crypto commodity on margin.

you have to go back

>> No.20603134

note that you can still make money from this, but it requires understanding the incorrect logic the uninformed holders are applying, and being ok with holding a generic token that you know by right should go to zero.

This is not a midwit coin. Only brainlets and bigbrains will make it. Overanalyzing midwits like you won’t

luckily, I am a topwit and have already made it (200+ BTC portfolio)

I am just really interested in this phenomenon (of a deliberately misleading token) and want to see what kind of cognitive dissonance it throws up.
