The other sources are largely in line with Statnews although they report slightly under 1000, which is less than one standard deviation. The only credible source I've seen which is very statistically different on some days is WHO, which reports something like 300 on a day where most of the other sources report 700+. Every source has their own methodology. You can't prove with certainty that a specific number of people died on a certain day for things like this. That's why the market asks for "reported" deaths. You can do some mumbo jumbo bullshit after the fact but the way this PM is structured the answer is 'yes' based on the question and the rules.

basically kleros is the supreme court, the bonds on realitio escalated past the point that the people on the 'no' side put up 42 ETH (hoping that 'yes' wouldnt post a higher bond, thus resolving omen to 'no'). 'yes' then arbitrated them, as doing so would net a profit of 47 eth if won (35 arbitration fee, but 47 net profit, they win the 'no' bonds)

the jury can come to three conclusions.
yes, no, or invalid. the losing side can appeal, but at the cost of something like 70 eth because they need to call in a new jury pool twice the size of the last one as well as pay for their incentives (35 + 35). but that would make no sense because the bonds on 'yes' would be 17 eth, which is not profitable for the appellant to do so. it would maybe make sense if the omen market was bigger, but it only had 6k volume
