Smart contracts “end of year” means testing basic ideas on a testnet. It will take years to test, vet and debug a new language, compiler and VM design well enough to trust it with finance. When have these larpers EVER met a deadline? Then devs need to adopt this weird Haskell based smart contract language. In reality these guys are just too slow and will be left out of the entire defi wave. The time to look at this is in 2 years IF smart contracts ever work. This always happens with ADA and it always goes back to a few pennies.

i think ADA can reach 20 cents by Shelley launch, and depending on how well it has performed until then, perhaps even higher into the 30 cent territory by staking august 18th.

the market cap is at around 3 billion, this could triple, and still be under 10 billion, for a short term hype wave, this isnt particularly ridiculous. The FOMO can kick at any minute and the only downside movement so far has been a slight one hinting at a bullish flag formation.

OP should hold for a month.

cardano is promising only when it has updates. Its ambitious but its slow. Cardano will pump close to updates and do nothing the rest of the time. Time between updates is so long that unfortunatelt for you, you could be in for losses until goguen

an alternative bearish scenario could be that this is already priced in and we will just bleed to a more reasonable price from here. Another possibility is BTC having a substantial drop and putting all the alts in chaos.

The latter cannot be accounted for, but the reason i dont think the former is likely is because a coinbase listing can be dropped at any minute and, we have the 2nd big event, staking in the 18th which atttacts long term hodlers.

I dont think the risk is particularly high at this price. Worse case scenario outside a big btc dump is that you make a modest gain between now and staking.
