Notice that PM is at the bottom of the list. You can't eat gold or silver, and if there is a food shortage no one is going to trade you food for gold or silver either. If you are relying exclusively on PM to save you if society goes to hell then you're probably fucked, because by the time anyone else is actually willing to trade for your PM you will probably already be dead.

Ok anons, I've been stacking silver and collecting coins since I was in elementary school, back then I also picked through copper pennies and saved them, but at the time I figured that wasn't worth it and cashed them in (only had about $50 worth of pennies) but with the "coin shortage" and the likelihood of the penny being demonitized, is it now possibly worth it to start setting them aside? I never would've thought to do it again but now with everything going on it seems like a better and better idea, thoughts?
