It sucks but the USA really shafted itself with it's "America first" attitude with trump. By placing tariffs on other countries (LMAO trump tariffed India china's own enemy helping china out) they are letting china roll their economy all across europe by making trade deals, buildings and such.

As a UK citizen it sucks too Brexit could have been great for trade deals with America but China swooped in first.

The US and China have been in a cold war for many years. The tech race is our space race, and it's inextricably linked to our economy.

This may be very good for the Chinese internet stocks. Google and amazon and netflix can't come in and disrupt them if China won't let them in. And it may be bad for ByteDance, as Trump might try to kick them out. Also could cause problems for some semiconductor companies.

I know not many people trust ADV china but they are normally the best sources when it comes to inside knowledge of china.

The doctors being murderd news is silenced by the CCP to avoid any negative outlook, it's also a common saying in china "Replicate the masters untill you are as good as them" china will normally steal tech from other countries and reverse engineer it. tl;dr a bank run is if people lose utter faith or get greedy with newfound money, and head straight to the bank to cash it out. The bank from there must (as expected) give everyone the exact amount of money they ask for to the fucking penny - and if they're unable to it will guaranteed create a snowball effect as they tell the next person (and can't give service to the next customer)
In short, the US is absolutely shitting its pants. It's easy to create moneypaper (that printer's been figuratively and literally whirring away for months), but not as easy to create moneytokens/coins. If even one person tries to take about $69.69, and only gets $69.65 because they haven't got the nickels to bridge the 4 cents, and in turn bitches on social media; everybody hawking a collapse will instantly go full panicmode and head to their own bank to try to take out all their money (esasterbating the sitation further)
If the banks tremble even a little bit, the entire fucking ponzi scheme of fiat money collapses in on itself (moreso when you conisder this is the biggest fiat economy of history maatched with the fastest movement of information from anywhere); hence the instability caused from collecting up all the coinage is an easy tradeoff (in their eyes) compared to the entire system collapsing.

And no, this is not hyperbole. Failed bank runs are pretty much textbook societal collapse triggers (at least, if you can't arrest everyone and suppress the information about the banks running out of money, a la Chyna)

I watched 45 minute video this evening with lawyer talking about no-new-information interview with that big twitch streamer would has unceremoniously and without explicit explanation booted from the platform back in spring. I don't care at all about vidya streamers but this story is interesting to me as the streamer had contract with Twitch worth purportedly in excess of 10 milly. That amount puts it in serious civil lawyer ballpark and clearly both streamer, one Dr. Disrespect, and Twitch have made little statement and what they have said has the flavour of meticulously curated legal language.

Anyway. Civil litigation is always fascinating to me. How big companies will try to weasel out of deals and how all parties involved are pointedly told by their attorneys to 1. shut the fuck up and 2. don't even think about not shutting the fuck up. They do this because failure to shut the fuck up opens possibility of a maybe only minor case of foot in mouth that opposing side can use against you. Company say; you breached terms of service. If you are German then from 2021 you will have to do taxes, or you will lose money. There is no way around it starting next year.

But taxes take like 10 minutes. Its very very easy.
You dont even need a software. Just a pen and a calculator.

No one in Asia will give a fuck about Electric for at least another 20yrs.
Even tho if they begin to give some fucks the Electricity will be made from Gas Power Plants which are Climate Clean.
Not only will they import 31. Million Barrels a day in 2025 , they will import LNG and Gas in general big time the next 5 years.

Gouvernment:
>CDU
Old people party. "Conservative". Just your average status quo party that wants more state, more rules, more bureaucracy and higher taxes while they embezzle money.
US equivalent:
Imagine Republicans and Democrats having one US party that rules most places without competition.
>SPD.
They are essentially the same statist CDU party, just less competent. Their main point of existence was to not be the CDU. Boomers who pretend to be kinda left but not really and kinda against capitalism but not really voted for them. Now theyre dead and the party is dying with them.
US equivalent:
Boomer democrats. They worked in a steel mill and vote democrat, because they are 70 and dont even realize that the democrats now stand for transsexuals and not some poor workers anymore.
>CSU
Bavarian state party. Main and only interest is Bavaria. Ruled Bavaria now for 60 years without competition, their current leader had a 94% approval rate at some point and it is probably the most competent out of all three.
Is needed to form a gouvernment and needs to be bought.
US equivalent: Imagine Texan Republicans having their own party and voting Trump for highways, tax reductions and shit.

Opposition
>Greens
Everything from boomers to Emily who is a vegan.
US equivalent:
Leftist democrats.
>FDP
CDU people LARPing as Libertarians.
US equivalent: Boomers saying taxes are too high without really lowering them when in power.
>Linke
Leftists and boomers LARPing as commies.
>AfD
Boomers LARPing as conservatives on FB and telling people Bill Gates is at fault.

The productivity per worker has gone up by 300% since the 1950s. What happens when it hits 500% or 1000%? Where 10 people can rely on the productivity of 1. Great for wages and purchasing power. Went off the gold standard in the 70's, there's your answer. Today a dollar should be able to buy you 1000%'s more in purchasing power, but the government destroyed it because they did what every government has done throughout history with pure fiat currency, printed it to the eventual value of paper currency which is 0. There is a reason all assets (stocks, bitcoin, real estate, fine art, ect) are soaring in value those things understand the hidden inflation that has been occurring. Of course now that the money printing has gone from the monetary realm to the political realm, the hidden inflation is about to become very apparent

>> No.20471361

It's the bigger issue. It makes no sense to bring in immigrants if they're not even going to be able to work because most of their jobs are getting automated, it just create more mouths to feed and decreases tax revenue. There's nothing we can do about unproductive citizens, they have very right to be here and the ones able to work will be forced to pay for those who can't through UBI. It's in everyone's interest to decrease the amount of people unable to work before we get swamped by increasing automation.
> ICE or EV meme doesn't matter.
It does because EVs have lower operating costs. Nearly all autonomous commercial vehicles will be EV. I think the vast majority of globalists are only globalists because immigration and increasing population creates profit for their businesses, it's not their hill to die on. When automation truly hits, the world will be turned upside down. A lot of countries won't even to be able to provide enough in UBI that their citizens can survive without work.
