the price seems to be pretty comfy between that and the 50 day EMA. so either we see a breakdown to the top or bottom. its glued to the top since weeks now and cant get through. we might get enough news to do it and then its basicly 20%+ to the upside till the next bigger resistance.
so lets cross our fingers and hope for some nice vola to trade this lazy ass mofo (at least for the last weeks)

>ANALYSIS-SMIC's Shanghai listing tests if money alone can bring chip dominance to China

>SHANGHAI, July 15 (Reuters) - China's biggest chipmaker SMIC is set to follow its staggering $6.6 billion share sale with its Shanghai market debut on Thursday, just as Sino-U.S. tension widens the chasm it wants to cross to reach global leader TSMC, industry insiders said.

>Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp (SMIC) has found itself in the slipstream of a government drive to develop an independent chip industry. Its Hong Kong stock price has surged three-fold since March as investors bought into sentiment accompanying its listing plans.

>Its second-biggest shareholder, the state-backed China Integrated Circuit Industry Investor Fund, signed up as the largest strategic investor of the offering which, by Monday close, had attracted 566 times as much money from retail investors as shares available.

>However, SMIC's global aspirations fall under the shadow of tense Sino-U.S. relations, punctuated by tech import tariffs and coloured by a U.S. boycott of China's Huawei Technologies Co Ltd on security grounds, which threatens business between the telecom equipment maker and suppliers such as SMIC.

>Even if SMIC acquired technology in its race to catch Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co Ltd (TSMC), the 20-year-old firm lacks the intellectual property and process know-how to win top customers for at least a decade, experts said.

>Its capital spending could more than double this year from last at $4.7 billion, S&P Global analysts estimated - just a third of TSMC's forecast spend.

(Goes on to talk about how behind they are and huawei and other stuff)

The problem I have is I need a decent amount of protein since I work a physical job and have quite a bit of meat on me. I played sports as a kid so I am very used to taking in insane amounts of calories daily. I want to be under 10 dollars a day with decent tasting food, and honestly fast food is often the best value for calories/protein + added benefit of being cooked and ready for consumption.

Okay pasta variation, could have used a little more text. All good pastas are text wall. 4/10.

Anyway, advanced math will not help in stock market. Finance can to a degree but finance is much more suitable for arranging businesses for most optimal revenue outcome. People with either background will initially find the market very frustrating. Price action is more complex than you assume because the human element and the competitive nature of trading make it so. You'll pull out your hair witnessing market frequently do things it shouldn't, according to your formulas and models both fundamental and technical, do.

Don't bother with a contract that far out.
>yes, that is too far out for TSLA
Gamma is being absolutely abused to the stratosphere with TSLA so you want short dated deep OTM TSLA calls. Less than 2 week expiry so 7/24 preferably purchased on Friday 7/17. This is the purest form of bubble there is and the rug can be pulled at any time. But if you see 4000 c open up on that day you buy them ASAP to prepare for another options pump of the price.
Started with a market manipulator, now its self sustaining to an extent. The only thing that's been subtly exploding at the same time are deep OTM puts in the 800-1000 range.
Keep in mind that 7/24 means an expiration after earnings. So don't get greedy. But I have literally been seeing 0.15 -> 5 swings in a single day. The only way to get that kind of return is to own ~30 TSLA shares

>Vincent Kosuga
Vincent W. Kosuga was an American onion farmer and commodity trader best known for manipulating the onion futures market. Public outcry over his practices led to the passing of the Onion Futures Act, which banned the trading of futures contracts on onions.
>With his partner Sam Seigel, a fellow onion trader and owner of a local produce company, Kosuga embarked upon a scheme to corner the onion futures market. In the fall of 1955, Seigel and Kosuga bought enough onions and onion futures so that they controlled 98 percent of the available onions in Chicago. Millions of pounds of onions were shipped to Chicago to cover their purchases. By late 1955, they had stored 30,000,000 pounds (14,000 tons) of onions in Chicago. They then convinced onion growers to begin purchasing their inventory by threatening to flood the market with onions if they did not.

>As the growers began buying onions, Seigel and Kosuga purchased short positions on a large amount of onion contracts. They also arranged to have their stores of onions reconditioned because they had begun to spoil. They shipped them outside of Chicago to have them cleaned and then repackaged and re-shipped back to Chicago. The new shipments of onions caused many futures traders to think that there was an excess of onions and further drove down onion prices in Chicago. By the end of the onion season in March 1956, Seigel and Kosuga had flooded the markets with their onions and driven the price of 50 pounds (23 kg) of onions down to 10 cents a bag. In August 1955, the same quantity of onions had been priced at $2.75 a bag. So many onions were shipped to Chicago in order to depress prices that there were onion shortages in other parts of the United States.

>Seigel and Kosuga made millions of dollars. Though this drove many onion farmers into bankruptcy

>Kosuga was defiant, replying to his critics: "If it's against the law to make money... then I'm guilty".

What a hero.

I liquidated approx 30% of my stock portfolio yesterday. I had around 340k and I took out 120k. I am using the funds to pay off the remainder of my student loans and I am buying a luxurious, fully uprgaded singlewide trailer in a gated community lot and rent will only be $300 a month and I will own the home. I am going to use the rest of the money to go to grad school.

I do not have faith int he markets for the short term. I think the market is going to be shit until the election. I think after four more years of trump the markets will probably be great but in the meantime it is just too uncertain and I felt like this was a really good time to pull out.

I bought in back when the dow was 18k. so even with corona damage I was still pulling double digit returns. The market was about 30k before corona so it sucks that I only have about 220k in but I felt this was the most practical decision overall. This is nothing like 2008 anon. Back then you could get zero income or asset verification loans in a hour. I know someone who wanted to buy a condo for $200K. He told Nationwide or someone like that he needed a loan. They asked him how much he made and he said $100K a year. The person helping him said that won't get it, I need you to say you make $200K a year he did and got it, put $30K in work in it, sold it for $375K 9 months later. You could get zero down payment loans and then if you bought a property, your bank would get you a line of credit check book with $100K in it. I am in real estate and eveyone I have seen buying since 2010 put at least 20% down. Most of mine have been cash investors. I'm writing an offer today for a client that owns 60 Beach properties? It's a lot he has never seen. $550K cash, close in 2 weeks.

Thinking this is 2008 is literally the dumbest take I think I have ever read here. So congrats anon, I'll remember you forever.

And only to non-US accounts.

But they dont really matter to me with the amount Im trading. And I might actually go to the US at some point and open a US account so no problem for me.
And it might still turn out cheaper than IBRK if you do not withdraw that much.

There is no intramural football and wrestling especially in HS, sure I didn’t play travel baseball and didn’t want to anyways, though my local league did play a few travel teams in playoffs which we had beaten with my all-star team one year. I only mentioned it because anon didn’t believe why I would be able to lift that much, if I had never done sports I would be probably be fat and weak. My parents required me to do sports or a club at school, so I chose just to do sports since I was already doing them, it was both a good and bad experience, I wish I was more of a nerd and had time to do hobbies I actually enjoyed.
