It happened for a few days. In particular, over last weekend, because just holding the AMPL token in a weallet and receiving a daily rebase @ 10 PM EST outperformed the eth/amp pool and geyser. (i.e. your amp still rebased in the pool and geyser but your tied up ETH did nothing for you over that period of time... holding back gains but still making money).

Impermanent loss will occur within an eth/[token] pool if the [token] itself starts massively outperforming. It's also a much lower overall risk (a hedge)
