To everyone on this board NOT holding LINK: Why?

By all standards and measures, this is an extremely undervalued asset that can make smart contracts actually useful and revolutionise large aspects of business. There are only about 2k people holding over 1k LINK. It has dedicated shilling teams. Even at $8, why would you not buy in? What asset exists out there with a better risk/reward ratio?

This is wrong. There are like 15k wallets with over 1k link. But then again there are 18 millionaires in the united states alone. There simply arent enough links for everybody, and 1k will be extremely expensive very soon.

Because the supply is extremely centralised, and that's a red flag for me.
Because having a token is a friction, and frictions are eventually removed in engineering.
Because "it is chain agnostic" but that is like TODO, nothing exists yet.
Because a literal confirmed whore is in the team.
Because it has pumped like crazy and it is extremely overvalued considering no one actually uses and there is no staking and is a shit token.

You should follow the ABC strategy: Always Buy Link.

It goes like this:
Link at 0.3 dollars? Buy.
Link at 1 dollar? Buy.
Link at 3 dollars? Buy.
Link at 4 dollars? Buy.
Link at 8 dollars? Buy.
Link at 10 dollars? Buy.
Link at 15 dollars? Buy.
Link at 20 dollars? Buy.
Link at 30 dollars? Buy.
Link at 50 dollars? Buy.
Link at 100 dollars? Buy.
Link at 150 dollars? Buy.
Link at 200 dollars? Buy.
Link at 300 dollars? Buy.
Link at 500 dollars? Buy.
Link at 800 dollars? Buy.
Link at 1,000 dollars? Buy.
Link at 2,000 dollars? Buy.

I guarantee it cannot possibly fail, ever. You will make money if you hold.

Now I'll be lucky if I ever see $4.50 again so I can buy more, because there are so many people like you in cash or shitcoins waiting for a drop to buy into LINK. Just buy. You'll probably lose money over 2-3 days but after a week you'll be in profit and won't have to stress that it might keep mooning.

Big accounts that had previously been posting TA on link and swinging to increase stacks were all short after the run up to $6.50 and although they won't admit it I'm assuming they got rekt. As it turns out we were right all along: buy and hold link was the best play all along. I imagine the butthurt is only going to get worse over the next few weeks/months.

you're mistaken, the LINK token is needed as the performance of nodes and the network needs to be directly correlated with it's value. If it was priced in ETH, if the network shat its pants, ETH wouldn't tank - this creates perverse incetives.

A stablecoin would not encourage running a node and again, there would be no network loss for bad actors.

All the conversion from fiat to LINK for payments will be done on the back end and obfuscated away.

You have sound arguments but you didn't research your own FUD very well and you're missing out on a huge opportunity every minute

A few reasons:

-65% of tokens non circulating
-it has been pumped to the moon already. I would buy sub-$2 I’m not buying a fucking top

And most importantly
-Smart contract oracles are too advanced of a use case for crypto right now at a production level. It’s a nice idea but many years off. We can’t even scale transfers yet. So this pump is the same as all the former ones: way too early and based upon very little. The oracle tech market could change enormously in the years leading up to it being important.

I missed LINK, should have bought at $0.25, but I’m not being baited into buying a top.

Because the conference yesterday revealed to the world the fat Russian that runs this scam. Price has already tanked 10%. Once it breaks through the $5 resistance the panic will begin and small holders and speculators will begin to offload, with the whales already long gone. Once it shoots through the $2.5 mark, unabated FEAR will ripe through all LINKies. With all those who dumped their current accounts into this scam twitching at their arsehole continuously while refreshing binance. The $0.50 mark will be met, the largest panic in history will ensue. The final stinky Nodes will begin to go offline, and wagecuckers with their engineering salaries loaded up in LINK will be left with it stuck in their wallet, unable to move it to binance to salvage some self respect. The price WILL tank at this point to sub $0.5, and most probably sub ICO levels. From that day forward the stinky Linkie wagecucking engineering nerds who bought this coin thinking it had fundamentals will go back to their jobs, with no money in their current accounts, to be made redundant by the next wave of pajeets arriving to undercut their wages. Stinky Linkies will hold bags FOREVER, with no job, no money, and no crypto. I warned you LINKies. There’s still time to get out. Sell NOW. Don’t be stinky, don’t be a LINKie.

I guess because it’s less likely for a decentralized consortium of people to collectively lie to you than it is for one person to lie to you.

What I don’t get is why LINKers think people specifically WANT pooled data feeds. Parties often specify very clearly the source of their data BECAUSE they trust that source.

Including other data providers actually muddies the water if you want a particular source.

Because linkies say that this will eliminate the middlemen in terms of these smart contract transactions, not acknowledging that link will then be the middleman. Smart contracts are essentially lines of code, as long as coding/software progresses, link will have tough competition.

Because if transactions via these smart contracts are instantaneous, then the price of the coin is agnostic - it doesn't matter if the coin is 10 cents or 1000 dollars. More coins will be leveraged if price is low, less if high.

For over a decade, crypto has never had a use case besides as a store of value/speculative investment. No mass adoption (use as a cryptocurrency is actually decreasing). This could change of course but it's very interesting nonetheless.
