Bought 4000 in 2018 after losing a lot on stupid privacy coins that never went anywhere. Threw the rest in LINK and stop swing/day trading. I paid into some trading/whale groups and did ok but a few projects went south and that wiped out my earnings. They all said LINK was a joke. Reddit said LINK was a joke. A few posts here cut through the Jason Parser FUD and explained the need that LINK filled.

I own just over 4000 LINK and a few ETH. I feel like a poor fag compared to some of the wallets I see out there (not screenshots) but I’m just trying to get comfy money, not a Oprah rich.

Anyone on /biz/ who has never put 500 USD into link is never going to make it. It doesn't matter when you buy in relative to other "pre takeoff" times to buy, or how well anons have done with the same sum of Fiat, so long as you buy before the takeoff.
It's "gambling", but if you're worried about missing a better price, the biggest risk is having nothing. And if you're worried about wasting money, don't spend more than you're willing to lose, or money that you don't have. That's the biggest way addicted gamblers fuck themselves over. The other is playing where the house stacks the odds against them. The odds are stacked in favour of us here. Even if you buy right before the top of a curve (as I did), you can still make it back and make a profit if you're ready to wait.
Eventually the problem won't be waiting for a good time to buy, it'll be resisting the urge to sell for profit. Holding off on windfalls for making it.
You can make it. We're all gonna make it. The poorfags (as opposed to insiders/autist anons with tens of thousands to throw on altcoins) who bought sub-$1 still haven't even made it yet. There's time.
