These two points you raise are very valid and legitimate OP. I've regrettably only started to seriously invest in the last few years (Link has helped me catch up a lot of course) but investing is legitimately god-tier and far more satisfying than getting another MLP collectible and consooming shit.
Even investing in boomer stocks like MSFT is amazing, i've had my holdings almost double in a bit over a year. There's all these fairly reliable vehicles for people to make money but most ignore it due to thinking they will somehow magically buy the top and lose all their money 2 days later. That only happens in shit shaky biotech, mining or shitcoins
