Honestly 2k is not a lot, but crypto does have a better risk/reward ratio than a lot of assets, so if you have the money to invest might as well throw it at a few coins. It's kind of like a higher priced lottery ticket where you probably won't win life changing money, but you'll probably get some nice winnings.

On the other hand, if you start putting in $100 in 10 different solid looking coins every month, you'll probably be retired in 10 years.
