Daily reminder that LINK was a complete flop at SIBOS. There were only 18 people in the audience and it was also held right next to the public toilets. Some of those 18 people even left early because of the stench and frequent sounds of industrial toilets flushing. It's also rumored that the toilets were clogged by the Link team which is why they were never invited back again. Legit I never dream about chainlink, except this one time several month ago where I dreamed I visited Sergey and Steve at Chainlink HQ was was built into the crater of a dormant island volcano. Sergey was growing fat clones of himself in a giant warehouse space behind his glass-walled office. They had pivoted from decentralized oracles to Chainlink-branded kefir water with which they had secured a Costco contract. Sergey drove me to a nearby Costco to show me and it was literally just Chainlink kefir water from wall to wall. Adelyn was working as a shelf stocker and she was wearing a metroid zero skin suit for some reason.

This isn't fucking copypasta, this actually happened to me. What does it mean?

I will give you a real story which happened to me, which will hopefully make you laugh. I will tell you how just by me holding a few link, I was able to get laid and ultimately get a promotion at work.

A few months ago before the COVID fiasco, I was at my job at a restaurant. I had just started accumulating link, and was super fired up about it. This began to carry over into my every day dealings with people. Most of my interactions would either begin, or end in link. I ended up printing a poster out, and put it on the street corner saying "(Restaraunt Name) now accepting ChainLink!. A little eccentric, I know, but that's my nature. Needless to say, over the next week we had a total of 6 people come into the restaurant asking if we accepted link. I didn't mention to any of my co-workers that I was the one behind this, and they all seemed dumbfounded, and had no idea what link was. One day, a beautiful woman came in around my age asking about link. Me and her got to talking out in the front, and she relayed to me that she had invested in about 1k link, and that she was super excited about the project. She ended up dining at the restaurant and had a pleasant experience. She asked to see the owner, and he sat with her discussing something for 30 minutes or so. I had gotten her phone number before she sat down, and my shift ended so I clocked out and went home. The next day when I came in, my boss embraced me in a hug with a huge smile on his face. "Wow champ, I can't believe it. In just a few weeks time, we have some of the higher ups in (Company Name) coming to take a look here which may end up in a partnership!" He was practically floating a foot off the ground. This business which was interested was a very prominent promotional company and owned a number of chain restaurants. This was a huge opportunity. The next day I got a phone call from that girl that came in. She asked me if I wanted to come to her place and have a casual dinner/movie night.

I saw Sergey at a McDonald’s restaurant in San Francisco yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.

He said, “Oh, like you're doing now?”

I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my lunch, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off.

When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like eleven big macs and two milkshakes in his hands without paying.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter although he managed to unnoticeably stuff few big macs in his pants.

When she scanned one of the big macs and told the total sum, he stopped her and angrily told her to agree on a smart insurance contract, in case the hamburgers messes up Sergey’s belly. He said he had a few sensors up in his ass, which were giving highly reliable real-time data of his stomach’s condition and bringing that information reliably to the smart contract, which will automatically trigger the insurance payment when needed. He then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think Chainlink’s oracle network is working anyway.
After she agreed on the contracts service agreement and demanded the payment for the hamburgers, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly and said “I find Burger King fundamentally better anyway”.
