XRP is one of those coins that seems like it still has some potential, but barely, so I'll just leave a couple hundred bucks worth in my portfolio. If it dips, who cares. If it pumps, I made some money.

Ripple (XRP) isn’t a real crypto.
It just showed up on coinmarketcap.com many years ago with an asterisk (* = “not mineable”)

But not only that, there was no ICO, no community, nothing. Just this “coin” with a price and a ridiculous number of them to create a high market cap.

Anyone in crypto at the time either laughed at, ignored, and/or was annoyed by it. Because it was (and is) nonsense to be at or near the top of the crypto projects. It did nothing of value to earn its position there.
It’s like an early version of some ethereum token created by a guy in his basement, hoping people will buy because it has a clever name and logo.

Then in 2017, the brainlet lemmings started buying it simply because others did. And the price went up big time! Because it was “cheap”. Also, because the company ***that bestowed upon itself ALL of the XRP*** decided to “lock up” 90% of them. (And people said, “Ooooo how committed they must be!”)
It’s all just so ridiculous.

That said, if you aren’t compelled to ditch XRP, please let me know.
Because I have a big pile of gravel in my yard (XGRVL), it’s only 19 cents per piece and I recently put a “Not for Sale” sign in 90% of it. “We” can totally get rich if you buy some and get your friends to as well. Let me know.
