I have been out of work since the start of the lockdown. I was unlucky enough to have quit my job of 4 years literally the week before all this happened thinking i had another job lined up. I thought I could not get unemployment because I quit my other job but i have legit not been able to get another one because of covidchan

but I am hearing that the 600/week thing has nothing to do with regular unemployment and can even give you back pay, is this right? can anyone give me info?

its a biz thing. Anyways the 600 is on top of what your state already gives you, so in total it is closer to 1000/week. I believe you have to be fired/laid off to qualify though, although they have loosened the rules a bit, perhaps another anon can chime in. bump.
