So what's up with the decreasing value of DMG? This is actually my first post on /biz/. Typically I'm reading only. Begin of the week was high confidence, but the value has been decreasing consistently for the last two days.

Can someone explain to me why people are seemingly losing their sure bet on DMG, and why it was initially high?

OOOOO, Look at that green candle. We are in another bear trap. Once we get the cex listing, we'll shoot right up to $2.50 and beyond. Followed up by another retrace until we get the new asset classes and aim for $4. $10EOY is not a meme, Anons. We're all gonna make it!

people chase pumps. a lot of folks made a quick 3x on this, and now that the initial hype is over, are cashing out and chasing the next pump. Some of them might hit another 3x, most will probably not.
The thing is though, is that dmg isn't like most other projects. This is a long term, top tier project at only a 50mil MC. its going to go up and down over time, but the overall trajectory will continue to increase for a long time

personally I'm waiting at least 3-6 months before a sell. We're still not even on CMC, let alone the CEX, and there a new asset classes to be announced as well.
And so because all the week hands have been shaken, once as more news breaks its going to moon even harder than before because most people know this will hit at least $5 short term

I see, well that makes sense...thanks! I did read some stories on here about the fact that the value of DMG is linked to stolen cars? So I'd thought people lost their faith in this project.

Not only stolen cars.
Fake documents, fake partnerships, increasing circulating supply, dumping on newfaqs
and a CIA rat that drives scams since he entered crypto space.
And Tim Draper who is ripping now DMG retards off like he did with Bottos hodlers.

there's lots of fud around the cars, some of which is true (but nevertheless not much of a red flag) and much of which is false.
The team has made it clear that this is just a first test case. whats also clear is that they have a good sense for business and marketing. They are going to steadily have big news coming out for the next 3 months, all the while Draper & Holms are getting other start ups to hope on board which is going to expand its network effect.

as soon as more news comes out, we're going back up again, that's how these things work.

only other thing i'm looking to get into right now is BNT -- if they can have a successful v2 launch i think theres a very good chance it'll overtake Kyber. There is a battle of the DEXs right now, and who ever wins stands to be the next finance as soon as the whole market starts really moving again. it might be a good idea to have a little of both bnt and knc just in case.

and of course i always have a stack of eth lying around -- though right now it is technically mETH which is nearby 6.25% interest thanks to dmg

things like the fact that the team has ties to the company that sold them the loans, and that this company doesn't have great reviews. to which i say, 1) duh, the team is networking, and 2) what loan company ever got good reviews? its a no-love industry where out-of-luck people are in a bind and either something goes minorly wrong (like always does in life) and they get super pissed at their loan holder, or nothing goes wrong (but in which case why would they ever want to leave a review on the company they got a loan from ) its simply a response bias

You only had confidence in it because other people were telling you to buy it. There are weak fundamentals behind this defi mad science experiment and people are finally realizing that and selling. Not hard to understand.

This shouldn't be bullish. Massive buys are the big money trying to pump this coin. The decline is coming from all of the smaller wallets voting with their exits.

dmg is the one project that actually has legit, proven fundamentals. They're not jumping on the "muhhh liquidity pools" bandwagon -- this is the first project bringing real assets on-chain along investors to earn a stable 6.25%. This is the kind of stuff that is going to draw institutional investors: something that they canalready understand and relate to, and is tied to the decentralization movement while still being stable and trustworthy.
to be honest, whether or not they are trust worthy is yet to be seen (they do have a good set of resumes though) -- but if they can ultimately prove to pull off all that they are trying to do, they are going to disrupt a large chunk of the loans market

Low IQ post. In crypto momentum trading can be initially profitable but its literally just everyone following large wallets. You eventually get dumped on and its the dumbest thing ever. I blame the low barrier of entry for getting into crypto.

It's better to just invest in the best projects even if they don't cost 35 cents. DMG is a glorified shitcoin.

Lmao just because you bring assets on chain it doesn't make the token valuable. If anything you introduce an additional risk because the assets are what the tokens' value is tied to.

Invest in projects where the token itself has a use case and fundamentals drive adoption which drives valuation.

Banks go through this same risk? DMG offers a chance to own a share/say in the bank. There is no reason why the value of DMG should be any less than the value of the assets it owns the rights to. Granted by that logic, they are also currently very over valued -- but hopefully new listings fill change that

btw they dont actually own these assets, they just have options on them, which reduces risk

lol crypto isnt going to change old school financial institutions like collateralized lending. Instead its a mater transitioning that institution into crypto -- that's exactly what DMG is doing.
