Alright I tried posting this on both r/BATproject and r/Cryptocurrency and both times it was instantly removed so it appears this is the only fucking place where I wont be censored.

2.5 years later I think stumbling upon Brave and BAT was one of the worst things that has ever happened to me. It's too good to be true, if you're just stumbling upon this post turn back now.

It has been nearly three years of over promising and under delivering. This is a long con and nothing more, probably created in Brendan Eich's indignation towards being ousted from silicon valley for being a homophobe.

They're going to continue to kick the can down the road and move the proverbial goal posts further and further until eventually they say "whoops well we tried guys" and exit scam. They can't even get sync to work with 100 people working on it night and day, and this version of sync wont even line up BAT balances between devices which they never outright mention because they'll do anything to save face. Brendan talks so verbosely you never have any idea what the fuck he's saying.

Numerous barriers for entry (kyc, etc), inability to meet deadlines, straight up breaking their own ethos by auto filling referral links. You guys had a deal with the biggest Korean band in the world yet cant think to have them tweet about the partnership? I don't feel Brave for having invested in BAT I feel intellectually inept.

dude I think you're absolutely right. I started following him on Twitter and the amount of anti-mask bullshit he posts is just comical. I really think he's doing this to make up for lost money by creating JS and not capitalizing on it more. And I've made a lot of money using JS throughout the years. I really think BAT is basically AllAdvantage (if you are old enough to remember that -- I am). there's no need to hold this token when you can hold BTC instead. and the entire KYC thing is a joke as well because they probably have some backroom deal setup with that provider.

Correct. BAT was created mainly to fill Eich's pockets, it's not different from XRP and other "totaly not a security, guys" tokens. Brave will be successful, but BAT won't go anywhere price-wise. Recent market happenings only solidified my argument.

I haven't been with the project that long and it's still disappointing. They totally missed the chance for Brave to outdo Zoom and become the basis for office communicating and browsing. I'm also less than impressed with Braves ease of use, it's not very intuitive to set up. of course there's always the Uphold nonsense. Brendan seems more focused on ousting Covid as a hoax than he is with Brave atm.

I'm also worried that with the self-publish not even rolled out yet that it's going to take a while before people see it. Im also beginning to believe the type of person who creates publishable content is not the type of person who wants to be their own publisher, they want to hand that off completely to someone else. I'd love to use a bat stack to become a media mogul or something of the sort but Brave isn't designed for that.

I'll probably sell in the next big run up, but if BTC crashes then it's not going that high. going to flip it all for Link.
