19992702 No.19992702 [Reply] [Original]

In order to raise the price of Statera you have to unpool your STA using the single asset option.
EASY WAY: on the pools.balancer.exchange: Add liquidity -> Single Asset -> choose WETH
https://pools.balancer.exchange/#/pool/0x0e511Aa1a137AaD267dfe3a6bFCa0b856C1a3682

Some tips on how to pool liquidity and help the project grow while collecting BAL + fees and enjoying passive income:
>use ETH or one of the other coins to pool (NOT STA), the excess of these coins is sold and STA is bought to balance it: STA price goes up
>when pulling out, pull out in STA, the balancer will sell the other 4 coins and buy STA to make up the missing amount: STA price goes up
You can use the EASY WAY of adding/removing liquidity to do this.

The issue is that the balance pool did not confirm the amount of STA it received in exchange for Eth, so the hacker bought and sold huge amounts of STA and ETH back and forth repeatedly. Since there is a burn function, and the balance pool did not check to see how much STA it received each time, eventually the pool ran out of STA, but the balancer thought it still had a bunch. The balancer then thought that STA was worth a huge amount, and the hacker bought out the pool with STA since the pool thought it was worth so much.

If it isn't deflationary, there is no point to Stonks. What will manual burn accomplish? The whole point was that the burn would happen because of the balance pool trading. Your "muh optimized balance rewards" means nothing now, not that it actually meant anything before.

the burn will happen because of the balance pool trading, just because you dont want it to work doesnt mean it wont. Optimized bal rewards meant our pool would generate more bal than yours the entire time, and it will still do that, with an even higher chance of being whitelisted with 100% rewards instead of 80 like sta because of its 1% swap fee, which we wouldve attained either way because ours is .3152%. Wow what a trip!

>ANNOUNCEMENTS

$Stonk's Dev, Noke, is temporarily ridding itself of it's deflationary aspect, this eliminates the exploit the "whitehat" who drained sta and stonks pools used, as it only applies to those tokens on balancer. At 00:00 -00:10 GMT a Snapshot window opened, and the new token was distributed to holders of Stonk. Anyone who had money in their pool will be reimbursed in full with Dev funds, and trading on Uniswap will resume as normal.

>This distribution and removal of the deflationary function makes Stonk a likely candidate for Bal Whitelisting, or 100% liquidity rewards. Stonks main purpose of being a leading DeFi indicator is intact, and the Dev is working on setting up a deflationary function that works separately from Burn, eliminating the possibility of the ()Gulp function being exploited in the future.

>Throughout this event Noke contacted Hotbit and gave them the updated address. Hotbit still has the original Market Maker liquidity that was sent to them, deposits began today, and selling is on schedule to begin tomorrow, trading opens at: 2020-06-29 16:00(UTC+8).

An AMA with Satoshi club will happen on the following day. Satoshi club is a respectable, long standing crypto information group and has well over 10,000 active members.

The deflationary aspect isn't that important. Sure any coin could take it's place, but same is true for Bitcoin, or any erc token. A lot of the value the token has doesn't come from the token itself. Once the pool reaches a stable size, it will work as an ETF which is the original purpose. The burn is generally just there to dissuade swinging and speculation.

Finally a decent anon who feels the need to dig further.

1) There's a 'whitelist' functionality that can be added to any contract, basically what it does is it lets you 'whitelist' certain addresses and make them burn-free. This is a common practice in deflationary token industry to have this functionality, because you need to pool your token somwhere and so when anybody pools something to Uniswap/Balancer, they dont burn part of their holding.

2) If you search 'whitelist' in statera's contract, you will find no such line codes, meaning they have no this functionality.

3) What essentialy happened is that everything that was pooled to balancer, showed one balance, but the actual balance was much lower.

4) Somebody took a flash loan of 100k eth, transfered them to cETH, to pool it with stratera and take another loan, but in fact he could take another loan which costed more than 100k ETH, that we the attacker drained slowly all the balance in the pool.

Related: (https://twitter.com/damirbandalo/status/1277344297080229890))

New article from STA team on Medium, has yet to be posted so here's the link
>https://medium.com/@stateraproject/lost-liquidity-fund-update-d78065a59dc4
They explain what's going on, definitely worth a read. They obviously can't afford to refund everything themselves but the project will continue. It's recovered quite well thus far, all things considered.

/biz/ is such a bad representation of the general attitude towards STA... lots of bitter and jealous loner ragers here. Ever since the FUD from the STONKers started I learned that nothing is to be trusted about STA on /biz/. The Telegram chat was relatively optimistic the hours after the pool was drained. The team was stellar at dealing with the situation. Personally I never saw any point in selling that low particularly when people are believing so strongly in this project. However I was dumb to follow you people with 1 ideology; no swinging and all hodling.
If any one of us abused the Flash Loan, the STA glitches, if any one of us top 20 whales swinged we wouldn't have crabbed and we would have recuperated immediately.

There's a double edge sword at not providing liquidity for weak hand dolphins to dump. It was only the dolphins who dumped like dicks, the whales kept strong. But without liquidity whales can't sell to rebuy.
Imagine dedicated whales rebuying and using flash loans to make the project grow rather than kill it.

Guys I haz question, how much money would a swinger had made from all this? There was an even older STA before STA2 got shilled to biz, then turned into STAC, so the current STA we bought is STA4.

Some guy in the early threads with STA3(actually STA4) said in joke that he has 40 million tokens, but I'm not sure if that was a joke considering you could have swinged this easily and there was a smart guy who always bought early and sold the top before it glitched and bought the next token super early.
