With all the QE and corporate bond purchases occurring, that money goes into the pockets of the wealthy. Who?
Big tech is stable and good. TSM, MSFT, AMZN all companies of the future. We are not even close to seeing the peak of big tech in my opinion. Entry barriers are gigantic and small companies are now bought out as soon as they show potential.

Too high.

So will QQQ. So long as on average there are more up's than down's, you still win by compounding quite a lot more than just 3x the gains you'd make on QQQ. Due to breakers, there is no practical possibility for TQQQ to reach 0.

So you have your high conviction 1-3 plays that you have some very good reason for going long heavily and then the rest of the index to buffer. I think if you are retail and picking 20 stocks it's just too many compared to the 1-3 you like most + index

TQQQ is Love, TQQQ is life, but TMF has reached it's useful lifespan. Long term rates are as low as they can go, making TMF a depreciating instead of appreciating contra-market hedge. Gold, while not correlating with the market in the limit, co-moves with the market during crashes (just when you need the hedge the most) Tail hedging TQQQ is prohibitively expensive to maintain over years or decades. So what's the hedge, mate?

This is correct. I try not to shame people for being gays, sucks enough having to deal with being gay.
but the cross dresser fetish is just too much for me. There are people who are neurologically or genetically similar to the gender their genitals don’t represent, or are born with genitals that are a little between both, and life has been hell for them for centuries unless they’re born in a specific culture like some natives of the americas.

But this new thing is something else. I think it’s desperation, something akin to prison gay. But also they never had a chance of being masculine, so they gave up and went the other way. Either way probably ends in misery.

Life is cruel.

Lads I'm feeling extremely convinced in a stock pick I have. With the info I have reviewed I'm feeling extreme fomo. Literally ready to cash out a big chunk of one of my current positions at a loss to go in hard on this one pick with $10k total. If the information I've seen is true this could lead to at least a 15x.
>10k -> 150k
As much as I'd like to go all in, that doesn't seem wise even if it's my instinct rather than just my mind saying to do it. In addition to the fact that my instinct has proven to be correct far more times than my mind when it comes to stock picks. What worries me is the fact I acted irrationally recently which caused me to lose out some of my profits spiraling to blowing some profits on irrational moves. I just can't bring myself into going all in with about 75k. But if it proves right, than a lowball estimate of 15x would be
>75k -> 1.125m
Enough for me to retire. Any advice, as I fear doing a stupid move again and might do this Monday.

>According to the investigation, first reported in The Times, the problem has been ongoing since the start of the year. The third party supplier had passed the audio to one of its other companies, which sold it through a market news service that charged £2,500-5,000 a press conference per each client on top of a subscription fee.

Christ that's less thank 10k to be the first to find out about rate decisions? How much cash would be needed to leverage that into profitablity? Not much I'd wager.

I'm wondering if we may see a big ass short squeeze this week followed by a gigantic bust.

A whole lot of people are expecting this thing to fall. And I think if you look back at March right before the collapse you see the same thing. Some REALLY steep moves up forming a gigantic peak and then a drop straight down. People knew it was going to fall and they mis-timed it.

This week could be that week. I'm not convinced we'll plummet without a surge first.

I actually thought that is what was happening Thursday but not many shorts expire on Thursdays right?

The current recovery is based on the belief that the crash itself was due to corona. If the crash had happened naturally, what kind of recovery would there have been?

Is it really possible that they were able to successfully short circuit the whole thing by drumming up a fake crash to "recover from" that accomplishes the same thing as a natural correction?

>If the crash had happened naturally, what kind of recovery would there have been?
crashes don't happen "naturally." If the conditions for a crash are in place, they need a triggering event or events. In this case, it was Coronavirus and its impact on economic activity and the government response.

Since the severity of the 2008 crash was so scarring, there's a good chance policy makers still would have taken advantage of that to print money and create "stimulus" to encourage a v shaped recovery, and to transfer wealth to the top .00001%

Because coronavirus and the shutdown, there were no perceived bad actors like there was in 2008, so this time there is less public backlash and the politicians can grab even more cash for them and their friends.

Interesting, I can see where you're coming from. You think BLM protests are causing people not to go to work.

I think it's the other way around:
People not going to work is what caused all the marches and protests to surge.

For months we had people not going to work, but it wasn't caused by BLM. It was caused by the shutdown. And as that demand impact hit oil prices, the Saudis and Russia decided to flood the market, further crushing the oil price to try and drive US producers out of business. Then production cuts lifted the price of oil, and US producers that were drowning in debt sped up their pumping to take advantage of the high price, jacking up supply again.

And then the shutdown ended, and there was unemployment at all-time highs, but still no certainty about the virus or about people getting rehired or if they could send their kids to school, etc. THEN we got the protests.

Most people don't quit their jobs to protest.
