Our connection is neither initial nor minor, we've been dating for four months. If it's immature to want her, I guess I'd rather be immature than too jaded to get involved. She really doesn't seem to have any downsides compared to other women I've dated before, I really like her.
Like I said in last thread, the six figures was nothing impressive, just doing niche design work for a few companies.

While TQQQ:TMF performed ridiculously in the last decade, the end of constantly declining long term interest rates spells it's doom. I'm still very bullish on TQQQ, but the counter-balance must change. Shill me an asset and/or derivative[s] that will:

2) Have a negative correlation with QQQ

because you have patrician taste in anime and milk, I'll say that you should probably follow the advice of showing up at her house or work if you really like her. Actions speak louder than words and she's probably really embarrassed and confused. Being there should be reassuring. You do not need to insist on anything other than wanting to continue seeing each other, it also doesn't have to be that day. That said, you should be getting ready to get serious with her. If you're not ready to do that or thinking about that, then i think cutting it off is the best option. In general reflect on a phrase like this
>"Please date me with marriage in mind."
Since you're at 4 months, you should know that relationships typically escalate in stages and it's on average...
>after 6 months (date exclusively or engagement)
>another 18 months or 2 years (engagement or marriage)
>another 2 years (marriage or children)
>another 4 years (usually children again)
The parenthesis are usually or ideally. It's not set in stone, but it's typical human behavior. After that you want a renewal of commitment every 10 years. this varies person to person, but this is just the average timing and keeping it in mind has worked very well for me so far. You should also try to adhere to this because you are 25 and she's 23. you really shouldn't be wasting each other's time if you're not considering the long game. Additionally, if you don't believe in marriage for the purpose of creating structure for children, you should just back off and find another fish. Shitting yourself... i can't even imagine how embarrassing.

Correct, it's not ideal. You said you've already tried contacting her and normal words aren't working, right?
>How would I transition from a seemingly nuclear accusation/question into dating again?
That's the correct follow-up question! :)
Probably empathizing statements or open-ended questions starting with "how" or "what" rather than "why" (which sounds accusatory). It really depends on a lot of context.

It might pump on Monday because we really sold off for all of the wrong reasons but you should be bearish long term.

Maybe see how Monday plays out, buy puts 2 weeks out for the imminent Covid FUD and then calls 5-6 weeks out for the inevitable stimulus pump. Take your earnings from both and put them all into VXX calls, FNGD shares or straight up $SPX puts.

I've been bearish but rode the pump up, now my suspicions have been confirmed, this is unironically going to be worse for the equity market than 2008.

>You don't mean to mention marriage immediately on trying to get another date with her, right?
probably not. it's something you should be ready to throw down and be personally aware of. You should know if you want to think about marrying her, and you don't want to be stuttering if she's like
>BUT PEEPEE POOPOO
>WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME
probably not so dramatic, but you get the idea. The better line is probably "I want to date you seriously." Using the word marriage might be a bit early and not your style. I met my wife in a scenario where I needed to be super serious and I tore a page out of Monogatari (because I'm a faggot) and "confessed properly" since it was relatively casual up to that point. I said something along the lines of
>"I want to date you with the prospect of marriage. Please continue going out with me."
We were going to be separated geographically and needed a more firm commitment or we would need to break it off entirely for closure. Without that kind of agreement, we wouldn't have made plans to get back into the same area.
>kids
don't mention that stuff unless she's got rabies and asks. the reply should probably be something like "I am hoping for some." My co-workers and friends have said that sometimes you see your first born and you just get a feeling like "that's good. All I need is this one." baby-steps anon. A person will fill in the blanks with what they want. If they like you, they'll fill in something nice. Less tends to be more.

unironically, the best advice is "b urself" because if she shouldn't only like you when you're on your A or B game. I'm only mentioning the marriage stuff becasue it seems like something you should have in mind. A lot of my friends can't meaningfully answer

In this situation, knowing that you want to consider marriage and what that means for you is pretty important, and it might be strongly in your favor to know how you really feel so you can more effectively respond to varying degrees of rejection.

Hi my name is Anonymous.
I mentioned it last thread, but I tried playing options but I'm not good enough at predicting things, so I went the opposite route and just bought dividend stuff anons recommended here during this dip. Before this year I was just sort of letting my cash diminish in value because I wasn't really feeling up to investing in anything other than bullion and a little ETH.
I like milk, classical and electronic music, shooters, cats, old adventure novels, guns, Americanized Chinese food, and semi-Americanized Chinese women.
I keep my "porn" in an encrypted partition, even though it's really just 99% nudes and pictures of women blushing. It's about a 50/50 art vs photo collection and I'm trying to tag it nicely now.
I once spent 9 hours straight staring at a wall just because I didn't really feel like doing anything. Other than that though, I read a lot of stuff online and eat frozen food when I'm not getting takeout because I don't like to cook.

I just want to sleep with someone I love regularly in every sense of the phrase, wake up happy, raise a few kids in a calm and beneficial environment, get a little heavyset eating good food I don't have to cook myself, try day trading out sometime when I'm a little older for fun, find the energy to pursue some hobbies I've been meaning to try once I'm more rested and contented, plant and tend a little vegetable garden with my wife, have a few bets, teach my children critical thinking skills to help them later in life, grow old together, and live as long as possible while still having fun together.
I can't really summarize it, but I think I want what most people want.

Guess I'll start paying more attention to them.
I lost all faith in almost all forms of media around 2017. I only trusted WSJ for a really long time.
Bloomberg was somewhat trustable, but its very fixated directly on the stock market. I've heard The Economist is very well written as well.
NYT is sensationalist smut tho. There once was a time when I viewed them as unbiased, but it really bleeds through now that there's a republican in the white house.

I like the economist, but I just listen to the podcasts if I have time, and the NYT and WSJ pods if there's something I really want to hear about.

With the NYT, I don't think that it's that Trump is republican necessarily. I think it's more that they never stopped treating him like a joke candidate, and he declared the press to be the enemy of the people and picked NYT and CNN to typify the worst of them. And things have just gotten worse from them.

I don't think it'd be this bad if it were just a republican like Jeb or McCain or any other republican really. It's that Trump is Trump, and he plays to what his audience wants to hear. His base, and really almost all of America, doesn't read newspapers and doesn't respect CNN.

I've gotten offtrack with my theorizing. The point is, I don't even read political articles unless they're about things like trade or the bill to subsidize semiconductor production in the US, that kind of stuff. And the NYT was great at the beginning of this year about reporting on the coronavirus. I didn't take it that seriously at first, but I should have.

The Economist can be fantastic, but you gotta skip the stuff about African countries you don't care about, because they try to be so global. NYT and WSJ are on par in my mind, but I don't read about US politics so that doesn't really bother me.

Hehe I don't fully understand it myself, you should know I say a lot of stuff I don't understand. However, I think there are a couple of things the average person doesn't consider about 2008, one that the markets hadn't recovered in the slightest from the dotcom crash and two that it was top-to-bottom planned by a cadre of politicians and bankers.
This is the first thing James Dalton talks about in his book (well, not the malcontent conspiracy stuff) which is why it grabbed me so hard. From 1978 up until 1998 (barring '87) the indices saw extremely steady year-after-year bullish action, you look at it and it's a straight line going up and to the right. Some of this can be attributed to "real" economic growth thru stuff like globalism, but I'm pretty firmly of the opinion that the fundamentals of American industry are already in decline at this point. Dotcom crash changed that, it's the "fall of the great bulle". It took until September '07 for the indices to reach the same valuation as September 2000. And that's with a pretty dang big rat cute to levels not seen since the 60's. You see the rise of super crazy financial engineering, and the ballooning of finance itself as a sector to levels higher than real physical manufacturing. What the heckies do they *do* at Goldman Sachs? 2008 immediately sends us back down to '96 levels. The fed begins so much interventionist policy I'll never be able to list or even understand it all, rats are cute'd to zero for seven years (and can't be un-cuted as Dec. 2018 shewed) the money vacuums to the top (not the 1%, literally like 400 people), America's actual industries rust away and we permanently lose the knowledge base that created this system in the first place.
Basically I'm of the opinion that this was all planned as a demolition of the American middle class' real purchasing power, the Fed is complicit in an expropriation of wealth too large to even understand, it was all done on purpose by people who hate you.

Markets in Profile James Dalton?!
I just thought it was a book about how to interpret stocks/indexes based on trade volume at different price ranges.

All of that is very true (except I don't think they hate me, I think they're doing a very human thing by collecting all the power and resources they're able to for themselves and their decedents), but that doesn't tell me why the market has to crash to new lows that I can tell.

YES, for all the people who complain about leftist policies "redistributing the wealth", we are seeing what could be the greatest wealth transfer in history, engineered by the government. They are printing money and bailing out hedgefunds and their friends in the world of finance, and they are lending out PPP loans to businesses owned by fucking congressmen. We haven't seen the devaluation of the dollar yet, but it's basically inevitable. And all the benefits are going to a tiny fraction of the 1%, and their friends in DC.

BUT I haven't figured out a better way to deal with this than try and collect assets to be one of the assetholders who may see some of the upside of the inflation, or at least limit the downside. Assets like equities.

>for corps and government, there's too much debt to service. therefore, whenever you need more debt to finance shit, you end up needing low rates to actually remain solvent.
I see... but the plan is to keep rates low. This would only be a problem when inflation starts to get out of control, and I don't expect that to happen until well after the economy starts to recover. Once they can't hide the inflation anymore THEN the fed will either have to except the decline of the dollar (they won't) or hike rates, nuke the economy, and then force defaults on that debt you mentioned. But that could be years away.

Mmmm, but these guys need inflation to get out of control due to their liabilities as well. The debts need to be serviced and everyone is choking on over competitive dollars (too much credit expansion). So when we add corona to the mix and get a revenue shock with retarded public policy thrown on top because everyone is flailing around with these absurd liabilities, we quickly find ourselves starting down the barrel of mass bankruptcy and intervention/inflation by the fed to keep the markets open at all. If you look at this in 2017 or 2018, you might say... "Hmmm soon!" after corona and the additional shock and headwind, you might say "IT'S HAPPENING"

So much of the libertarian/goldbug/austrian thesis of how this all falls down seems to hinge on the fed being unable to hold the dollar up (or another scenario like China/Russia coming out with a gold or otherwise backed currency undercutting the dollar for settlements). I was watching some vids from this guy George Gammon who really seems to know a lot and he seems to think a more likely scenario is them losing control of the bond market rather than currencies, you have any thoughts on that?

It's easy, actually. Pic related, just invest in TQQQ, UPRO, or another levered index fund and you'll beat the market in 10-20 years. The reason why most people don't do it is because your drawdowns will be even worse than the indices when they drop.

You can mitigate this by investing 40-60% in a bond ETF, preferably levered and one with zero or negative correlation to the stock market.

- BLNK - pretty big insider buying recently, it's been in the news, EV-related which has been goin up recently, I've seen some price points placing it at 5 bucks, and a lot of volume on friday, also that California thing about making all trucks EV ASAP
- CLR - Oil is in a shitty position atm, but again high price point of 23, currently around 15, friday the former CEO bought over 2 million shares at 16-17 (read about it in Barrons if you want), not sure what's going on with it
- VXRT - for obvious reasons, might be an idea to buy on open and see how it goes
- APDN - Only one target price point, but it's 21 (currently 9), soon to join Russell microcap (announced yesterday), bunch of insider buying through last week, volume's up too

Buy silver etfs then, SIVR is trading at more or less its NAV and silver lags gold. Gold royalty streaming companies might be an OK play too though they have high P/Es right now. Just looking at the price action on Friday, I saw a lot of volume and big buy-ins at or around 10 between the 2 spikes it had, so I for one doubt it will dump at open. The price target was lifted to about 12 last week, so buying in at 10 should be safe, barring any bad news it's unlikely to go back under 9. If you look on the Webull volume analysis, you can see a lot of buys everywhere between 9.75-10 (even over 10), with a few still in at 9-9.10. If those people haven't sold on friday, they're unlikely to sell Monday unless we go over 11.50 or so imo.

TLDR: I think even 10 is a good buy-in, and this news about the Russell index can only do it good.

AMD moves like a literal fucking shitcoin with absolutely no grounding in reality. Good news? No movement. Great news? 1% dip. Bad news? 6% dip on open then inch up to 0%.

I bet if Lisa Su commits sudoku on livestream while declaring bankruptcy after admitting falsifying revenue and that they literally took intel chips off the shelf and swapped the pins around and re-sold them, AMD would break $2000 in the biggest golden bullrun to ever grace this horrible clown market.

Just YOLO and buy some very cheap OTM (out-of-the-money) puts early Monday. An example would be a 7 AUG 2020 SPY 235 PUT - the ask is currently 1.21 (so $121). If you think SPY will go below 235 (remember that the March low was 218.26), then pull the trigger).

CLSK has been trending upwards since March. They've had a string of positive press. The interest is gathering. Volume was up over average by over 500% on Friday. It closed nearly 20% up and then went stronger AH. HC Wainwright set an $18 PT. Google search trends are up. It's about to begin pumping very hard. RH and the rest of retail will be all over this soon.

Fair disclosure: I bought in on Friday at 2.35 a share. I think we'll make some good money on the pump alone but I also believe that it's an undervalued stock. They make microgrid equipment with an emphasis on software control to predict energy usage and source this energy as effectively an reliably as possible.

Microgrids allow places with larger energy footprints and off grid energy resources to trade with the main grid more profitably and CLSK products automate this process. For anyone with energy demands and alternative power sources or storage willing to buy this equipment it is free money they'd otherwise be throwing at the power company by buying energy inefficiently. CLSK holds patents allowing this equipment to operate automatically and in real time saving money and energy by using, storing, buying, and generating it more efficiently. This technology is green in more ways than one.
