osteoblasts don't remineralise enamel. Enamel is laid down before the teeth are erupted from the enamel organ and because the layer of ameloblasts are on the outside of teeth, this gets lost. Which is why no new enamel can be produced. You can mitigate the demineralisation of enamel by brushing with fluoride toothpaste (fluoride negative ion replaces OH ion in hydroxyapatite)

Once bacteria has entered the pulp system you need an RCT to eliminate bacteria from the pulp system otherwise eventually it will lead to periapical infection and subsequently an abscess

>xylitol will not do anything if you already have decay

well that is debatable. what i am trying to say is that by reducing the harmful bacteria you give the body an opportunity to rebuild enamel.

notice i said opportunity. that doesn't mean it will, as from what i understand, encouraging the body to rebuild tooth structure requires a shitload of variables to be met.

these include things like sufficient vitamin and mineral content (especially fat soluble). adequate levels of saliva (no dry mouth). a clean oral cavity or clean as possible.
and most importantly, healthy functioning organs (liver, small and large intestine).

even then it might not stimulate the body to repair teeth.
but you have other therapies as well, like ultrasound and laser (low pulsed) that stimulate the pulp to produce stem cells allocated to rebuilding dentin and enamel.

Then how do you explain her story? and the studies she quotes that say it kills cavity causing bacteria? it might not be a cure all miracle substance but blasting your mouth with xylitol definitely seems to do something for you even if you already have tooth decay..

>> No.19962256

>>19962118
it doesnt directly kill them, like bleach or an antibiotic does. It is there to replace sugar, cutting off food source of bacteria. I would call it bacteriostatic, not bacteriocidal

>>19962100
I agree with a lot of what you say. Xylitol will prevent decay insofar as it replaces the sugar that is metabolised by the bacteria that drives the carious process. Though if you have a cavity, xylitol won't just help you magically regrow enamel where it once was. This is not possible. (however new studies have shown the ability to grow enamel in lab conditions, although they were only able to create a few microns of thickness)

Rat experiments are worthless as lab rats are human controlled and have longer telameres due to being bred in captivity for this purpose for 100 years. All american lab rats come from the same place in Maine and have the same property that allows for constant tissue regrowth so that the rat never ages, but is predisposed to cancer. This gives us an enormous number of false flags when testing and is another case of increased data resulting in the obfuscation of truth

Hey ur that anon from the other day. No idea but if you are telling the truth I hope you will do well in this endeavour, it'd be awesome for this to come out. I'd personally would to dab that stuff on as my teeth annoyingly get cavities even when I clean my teeth more consistently. Not cleaning only seems to accelerate cavity formation. Doesn't feel too good when you have to put in effort and still get cavaties at a slight rate per year.

Be careful anon for evil lurks in the shadows, people willing to kill a person over they themselves losing money cause someone made something that reduces their revenue and profits. That would be my biggest fear about this. If what you say is true about this product and it utterly puts a stop to having people go through pain and agony to fix cavities and the issues that cavities themselves create, then you have a large group of people and corporations who lose out on making money and I wouldn't be surprised if you'd get a death threat by some henchman paid off to do it in secret leaving the person or corporation who ordered it, spotless to the naked eye.

Congrats. I have to brush and floss just to reduce the rate at which cavities form. Not brushing accelerates cavity formation for me. Granted I question the dentists as sometimes I've gone years without pain and finally go in and get told I have over 8 cavities....when I only had 1 giving me an issue. Then when I proceed to come on a 6 month basis they always seem to find a few cavities at a rate that seems larger than when I went awol on getting check ups for over 2 years. You telling me going awol on dentistry work for 3 years results in a bit over 8 cavities but going consistently for 3 years results in about 9 to 10!? What the heck is the point? Not even the same dentists on all of these occasions. And mysteriously when I refuse to get them fixed and come back over a year later the amount stayed the same almost as if it only increases after they fixed the so called cavities.
