Probably totaled about $200 over the past year.

in my early 20s i was working as a healthcare worker, doing real dirty CNA work at nursing homes and assisted living facilities. anyways, i went to the bar after work one day, met this hot older woman. got in a relaitonship with her. well, she was a career criminal. i'd never met anyone like that at this point in my life so i gave it a shot. she shoplifted as a job. she had all these rules about how to do it and get away with it. even taught me how to do it. we would do these pain pills, the go out and steal clothes, stuff from lowes, then we'd get her associates to take them back into the stores and "return" them for gift cards. she'd then take the gift cards and sell them to this old drug dealer who would then resell them online.

long story short, we were fucked up one day and feeling bold and stupid. we lifted some really nice clothes from this store but i ended up breaking the cardinal rule she said to never break which was "never go back into the store after you've left it". on my 2nd run i was lifting clothes in the dressing room when cops stopped me. and since i was caught, they had to talk to her since she was still in the store. needless to say that ended my shoplifting "fun times" - the experience was really worth it tho. you get this adrenaline rush when youre shoplifting bc you are always afraid of getting caught until you are out the door, in the car, and outta there. in total i lifted around $8k before i got caught. never done it again and ghosted her since that charge ruined my shit cleaning job as a CNA which was good money at the time. its all water under the bridge tho, my networth thanks to crypto is 1.8 million in USD value right now and i expect it to be extremely higher by 2022 when the market peaks.

ive no idea where she is now but i know she isnt in prison, i checked a year ago on that. she just kinda disappeared, ive no idea if she went clean or if shes still grinding the career criminal life. i was 21yo when i met her, she was 27yo and had 1 kid. she was "in-between" apartments so i let her move in with me. she was upfront and honest about anything you'd ask her about, at least she was with me but theres no real way of me knowing for sure. at that point i had never really done drugs besides weed so snorting pain pills was a new one for me. havnt used drugs in a decade at this point tho.

she was incredibly beautiful and her seeming to "have her shit together'' i thought was attractive given how her finances hinged entirely on mostly theft. she would swing trade drugs tho to where thru her system she never really "paid for drugs" - it was clever. what ended both of us was getting caught there that day when i broke the rule. she had felony lvl drugs on her and of course was lloaded with stolen stuff she got caught inside the store with all because of me. she was locked up in jail for at least 2 years because of that day. she sent me all these letters but i never sent one back. ended up sending me something like 100 letters. i feel bad now looking back at it in not sending her anything back. i washed my hands of her for the better i think. wouldnt be where i am now if i would have replied to her letters.

my advice to any anons who meet someone like this is to avoid if at all possible. anyone who gets you into criminal activity isnt worth the risk. as ive become a 30yo boomer now theres only 2 things i wont gamble with: my freedom, my health. so be extra careful if you go down the crime road, a 6x9 jail cell isnt where you ever wanna be.
