LINK is the biggest centralized oracle network out there.

Do you guys believe that ACTUAL decentralized oracle network competitors will do well?
Let me explain:
60%+ of the total supply of LINK is held by one single entity.
For investors to run a node on the network, you need to undergo KYC. This isn't true decentralization.

I just discovered Blocknet, and their XRouter. Pretty interesting: https://blocknet.co/introducing-xrouter-developers-can-now-mix-and-match-any-blockchain-via-the-worlds-first-blockchain-router/

Blocknet uses Chainlink.

Holy shit i’ve never seen someone raped that quickly.

No, it doesn't.

lmfao you fag. Half of LINK's hand-picked nodes use Infura, how's that for decentralization... they can't even provide ETH data from a decentralized source!

Can you elaborate more about Infura? How is this important?

Half is not all, there a plurality with node operators, and the PoS mechanism incentives good behavior.

Infura is a centralized source of the Ethereum blockchain. When Infura goes down, so do LINK nodes. Simple as

"hey we're mostly centralized b-bb-but we're still not!!!!"

I see. That's a huge problem. Only recently researched Blocknet and wonder if they counter this issue in any way?

Yep, the way they're built because of how they stage properly for their full DX, all ETH nodes are full archival and each service node runs one. Sorry Linkfags and your shitty "full" ETH nodes kek

t. only in it for the fees

It's by far the most overvalued project out there, no question about it. If Infura in fact DOES go down one day, everyone will shit themselves, as NO ETH token will function anymore, lol.

fees paid to out of the LINK dev fund iirc. I have had trouble at becoming an approved Chainlink node operator (still waiting) so I can get a piece of these funds paid out too, and I've heard about Blocknet before too. The major difference I found between the 2 is that LINK provides data only accessible by a smart contract (takes time to post to the ETH chain and is also very expensive) whereas Blocknet nodes can be pinged directly which is instant. Blocknet is also nearing completion of doing exactly what LINK does with regards to the ETH chain and smart contracts. Because of this I've accumulated a handful of BLOCK Service Nodes because it's at least something i can participate in TODAY vs having to wait however long to finally be "approved."

Also with regards to instant decentralized information provided by Blocknet nodes vs LINK nodes... this is probably why LINK is having a lot of trouble getting actual usage on their network. At the end of the day if LINK wasn't paying out of the ass to LINK node operators they'd have almost no one running services because it's too expensive to do so. Big entities such as Google, Amazon, etc aren't using LINK because, well, it's too slow. When Blocknet finalizes these libraries they've been working on I think it'll be a no brainer for the DeFi, blockchain, and non-blockchain worlds.

Agreed sirs, anyone seeing this should go all in. Clearly this is the chainlink killer.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts as a Chainlink holder.
It's pretty obvious that Blocknet is the better oracle network in terms of speed and decentralization, where as LINK has a lot of "partnerships" and marketing, which helps them grow currently.

Running a few nodes on Blocknet might be extremely profitable long term, especially if ETH token owners starts adapting Blockchains "Infura" solution, which makes data processing decentralized. I imagine they could partner up with Metamask to offer their users decentralized data transmissions.
