Toyota put out a press release yesterday on their financial arm’s website, Toyota financial services, saying they are partnering and want SYNQA (OMG parent company) to develop their wallet with their blockchain technology. The CEO held an interview with new economy japan and said the main benefit for Toyota would be tax efficiency as opposed to a global wallet that only deals in fiat having to blast through miles of tax regs for each country it’s in. The plan is to make it a world wide wallet so it makes sense for Toyota.

Also the Toyota DCO is now a director of SYNQA, clearly very bullish and a strong sign of a long lasting partnership. It’s even more than a partnership if you ask me, sort of an integration. Either way it’s extremely bullish for OMG and Toyota obviously thinks so too with their share of the $80m investment for SYNQA to expand Omise and OMG Network
