I have mixed feelings about this.

Someone in previous thread listed like 50+ nodes for Milo wallet.

I have only two from ANN thread, and my question is - do I need to add all of them to conf file ? Or this doesn't mean anything (staking gains wise)?

Can someone please help me get my wallet up and running? I'm on a linux machine and followed the steps from page 6 in the ANN thread, but everything says out of sync and 0 connections.

I have downloaded and installed the wallet via milocoin.info and let it fully start before closing it. I created "Milocoin.txt", added the nodes that were listed on the thread, and saved. I changed the file extension from .txt to .conf and started up the wallet. It has been open for 2+ hours now and still no connection. All network settings are default. I'll send a few milocoin to whoever helps solve this issue

first thing you want to do is go to the milocoin directory and copy your wallet.dat to a new location to back it up, and save a duplicate with a new name just in case.

you could try opening the program in a Command prompt. if you don't know about this, read here:

go to the milocoin directory and type:

C:\whatever\Milocoin\milocoin-qt.exe -reindex

i don't know what the actual windows filename is, but you could try opening it with the -reindex command

if that doesn't work, reinstall the wallet and copy the old wallet.dat into the directory.

it will need to resync and will start off showing that you have a zero balance because it will show your wallet status at block 0, but once it syncs your wallet should be back to normal.

make sure to backup your wallet.dat before you do anything

How does proof of stake work? I'm a bit of a crypto noob.

So lets say I have 200k Milocoin sitting on an exchange. How do I go about staking the coins and making interest? I have the milocoin wallet downloaded to my desktop now.

Yes, just transfer your balance from the exchange to your wallet.

Then you have to go into users>"your name">appdata>roaming>milocoin

Make a text file with the name Milocoin.conf and then paste

into it. Save then close it.

After you do this, you have to encrypt your wallet with a password of your choosing. THEN, when you want to stake your coins so you gain more, unlock the wallet and make sure the checkbox is checked that says you want to stake coins only. That should be it. Sorry if this isn't that good of an explanation but its the best I can do.
