Do you think US student debt should be forgiven for everyone? What's the chance of that happening in 5 years?

No, the market should stop extending so much credit for higher education instead.

>> No.19795543

Student debt has been chopped up n resold throughout the market. It's in pensions, 401ks, IRAs and other forms of retirement vehicles. Simply forgiveness will result in the devaluation of such retirement vehicles, many of which effect even those holding student debt.

It's a cache 22. Either pay off everyone's student debt for a short-term gain or leave it for those to learn from, regulate the colleges n loan providers like normal people do to keep a strong future.

Though the ladder will be chosen as everyone is thinking of only the now.

Yes and they should stop giving out the loans. It would be easy to freeze payments on current loans and then pay them all off over 10 years. You could cut the insane military budget to pay for it without raising taxes at all.

You're literally asking if the Jews should give up and forgive DEBT---the one single thing that is best used to control entire peoples. LOL you have a better chance of resurrecting Jesus in the flesh.

what happens when you want to bomb someone tho? Helicoptering student surplus on them isn't as ratings effective as Big Bang & Exploding Gooks.

No, because that would be unfair to all those who worked hard to repay their loans or worked to not get one in the first place. People who got loans knew what they were getting in to and should face the consequences of their actions. If a forgiveness is going to happen, then it should be in the form of $50,000 or whatever given to EVERY student, with the money automatically paying off any loans and any left over given to the student. That way, people who have already paid their loans get $50,000 while those who have debt get their debt cleared.

Win-win and fair. But this is never going to happen.

The government should hire the same college students they bailed out to make bombs instead of companies that overcharge. The reason the military is so expensive is because its being used to funnel money into corporations who then give politicians kickbacks. Like when haliburton was charging $100 to wash each bag of laundry. The whole military is a huge scam to steal tax payer money.

I didn't go to college to avoid the scam loans so I'll tell you right now, if these are forgiven - myself and many others like me are going to be pissed and we're not the sjw types you see on screen. we will flip cars over or do whatever it takes to ensure your kind is forever a slave to the debt jew. you made the choice and you will endure the consequences

Government backed student loans should NEVER be given out anyway. They are factually the most predatory and ridiculous thing in the entire financial market and such an obvious wealth transfer mechanism that it floors me the shit exists at all. They should all be forgiven, with the caveat that everybody who took one, gave one, or profited from one shall be given lashes in public.

It's not a short term gain, it's a lifetime of increased opportunity for an entire generation from having the resources to invest and accumulate assets early they wouldn't otherwise. Those retirement vehicles won't exist for them in the first place, the 401K was a downgrade from the pension system and it won't last either. 4 Market crashes in 20 years, not only is the system gonna collapse, even on the most optimistic view that's still a 20% chance of losing half your retirement the year you retire.

>Do you think US student debt should be forgiven for everyone?
No.
What's the chance of that happening in 5 years?
Near 0, it would collapse the world economy. US debt is a market and the world pegs to USD. look what happened in '08 when a section of the debt market got a little shakey. Shit imploded the economy.

Politicians will use it to fool dumbfucks into voting them in, just like reparations, full knowing that shit won't ever make it off the floor.

Hypothetically, do I get a 120k refund since I paid cash?
>no
That answer is immoral.

I'm personally also on this reparations boat. we can adjust for tuition inflation and interest as well. it would then need to be followed by a tightened budget to get rid of admin glut.

>Do you think US student debt should be forgiven for everyone?
If by forgiven you mean hyperinflated away then yes.

>What's the chance of that happening in 5 years?
Hyperinflation probably over 50% at fucking least. Outright forgiveness? Close to none until people are meme'd into collectively saying they aren't going to pay.

>Student debt has been chopped up n resold throughout the market. It's in pensions, 401ks, IRAs and other forms of retirement vehicles. Simply forgiveness will result in the devaluation of such retirement vehicles,
If they even exist by then. Sounds like a giant net gain for everyone except current and soon to be retirees (fuck em).
