Sentinel Contribution to the Cosmos SDK:

>Fixed an issue the In IBC prototype where there were problems with incorrect sequences in the process of relaying transactions between chains. https://github.com/cosmos/cosmos-sdk/pull/2896

>Fixed an issue relating to queries where the data doesn't have proofs https://github.com/cosmos/cosmos-sdk/pull/3236

>Fixed an issue which led to a block delay in querying the account, implemented a new query method to resolve the delay. . https://github.com/cosmos/cosmos-sdk/pull/3767

>Reported the wrong implementation of Private key and Public key interfaces and proposed the best method to implement. https://github.com/tendermint/tendermint/issues/373

>Requested and suggested a way to develop a solution to get the information (including time remaining) related to blocks that had yet to be synced. https://github.com/tendermint/tendermint/issues/3365

>Tendermint based modules developed for Sentinel's Tendermint dVPN app

>For Sentinel, creation and implementation of a deposit module, custom built to maintain status pertaining to locking of tokens. https://github.com/sentinel-official/hub/tree/development/x/deposit

>For Sentinel implemented a mechanism for locking and releasing tokens based on the application requirements, wherein this case the user had to lock tokens in order to initiate a DVPN subscription https://github.com/sentinel-official/hub/blob/development/x/vpn/handler.go#L158

SENT's latest publication covers both the team's custom strategy to score the highest number of points in the GameOfZones Phase 2, as well as the importance that Phase 2 had on thoroughly stress-testing cosmos IBC

The multi-channel relayer used by the Sentinel team to achieve the highest throughput in the competition (transactions per second) has been fully open-sourced and is referenced in the blog post.

The Phase 2 of the GOZ competition tested the current version of the IBC protocol to it's limits and allowed for unique strategies to be deployed that allowed participants to showcase their ingenuity in the aspect of increasing packet throughput.

participation to cosmos initiatives is a necessary step that will lead to sentinel main net launch, which will allow staking and full monetization of the dVPN nodes.

currently sent tendermint chain its on testnet and being validated by some cosmos validators:
https://explorer.sentinel.co/

before the launch of sentinel own blockchain there are some closer upcoming releases:

>IOS app
>improvements to the android app
>v3 desktop client
>enterprise private nets integration

yeah, it will be free to use till launch of sent main net then full bandwidth monetization will be enabled, allowing anyone to sell their own bandwidth thus undercutting centralized legacy VPNs , sentinel will uberize the bandwidth market making vpns cheaper for consumers and unlocking enormous amounts of untapped value, imagine all the consumers that will be able to sell their bandwidth which previously went just unused

Sent has a more mature product and will launch its own chain

have you even tried orchid ?
i did and their product is unusable, its a UX nightmare , no way normies will be able to figure out how to manage multiple tokens, you have to hold both eth and oxt in your wallet to use their service, and learn how to send eth txns while hoping the network is not congested.

after main net sent will integrate fiat on ramps (credit cards etc..) so it will be even easier then buying from coinbase.

also sentinel will allow to pay for nodes in any crypto coin on top fo the fiat gateways.
it will do so either through an internal dex launched after their main net or by allowing nodes to accept any coin.
the second option should create synergy between sent and other crypto projects as their community will be able to offer additional usecase for any coin by hosting dVPN nodes.

xmr hodlers will be able to host dvpn nodes accepting xmr

sent will allow to pay both with crypto and with credit cards, also on main net they will probably deploy an onchain mixer to further obfuscate payments.

>>19790828
sentinel has multiple solutions the normal dvpn for consumers and the enterprise solution private nets, which will allow any business, corporation government or legacy vpn provider to integrate with sentinel infrastructure .
both protocols will probably be interoperable thanks to sentinel multi hop relay net so you will be able to bounce your data through multiple nodes on both the consumer and enterprise side to get the best possible privacy

most of the dev time has been used to develop the tendermint blockchain and the new v3 client which has been recoded from scratch :

"In the previous client, the UI and the application logic is in the same desktop client codebase which has been written in ReactJS.

There was no ability for other applications to integrate with the Sentinel dVPN network or for users to remotely manage their dVPN client

The new client features a binary file which starts a API server that allows for the UI to be imported from anywhere in the subnet.

On top of this binary anyone can write their own custom UI and also integrate dVPN and Sentinel account into their own app through the API server

What does this mean?

1) Remote management of Sentinel dVPN present in home router/raspi
2) Ability for enterprises/organizations to build applications ontop of the Sentinel network with dynamic UI that is maintained from their own server (users do not need to download a new installer for a UI update)
3) Ability for other applications to integrate Sentinel dVPN services and account system into their application "
