NANO is not an ERC-20, it is a completely unique, built from the ground up, and currently live cryptocurrency. It can be traded on Binance and Kucoin, as well as Kraken. It is currently #47 on CoinMarketCap.

How it works:

Instead of using a single, monolithic blockchain, Nano uses a block-lattice data structure, where every account has its own blockchain (i.e. transaction and balance history). This is a unique implementation of a directed acyclic graph (DAG), where a "block" is just one transaction, and each transaction contains the account's current balance. Furthermore, account-chains can only be updated by the account owner, which allows the account-chain to be updated immediately and asynchronously from the rest of the block-lattice, resulting in quick transactions. Due to the speed and low data requirements, the cost of hosting a node is extremely economical, allowing NANO transactions to be completely free to send, not needing to be taxed to pay those who host the nodes. This also allows for the network to be deployed without inflation or mining to pay for node uptime. Nodes have a requirement of 133,000 delegated Nano (0.1% of total supply) to vote on the network. Delegation does not require staking and can be changed instantly via the wallet owner.

No, NANO is not an ERC-20 so it isn't on ERC-20 based dex's. Only larger exchanges, Kraken, Binance, Kucoin, etc.

I don't own Nano and can't say I ever will at this point (Honestly I have ignored it this whole time) but the sentiment is true for any crypto product that releases a functioning product that delivers what has been promised.
After a bubble inflates to encompass an entire market and bursts, its the few sharp points within the data that sucks up all that market share, like Amazon and the dotcom bubble.

I literally had a dream where this exact same scenario happened. BTC crashed, as did everything else, including NANO, but NANO ended up shooting up almost instantly and taking spot #1. It seems like a very real potentiality, especially as BTC fees will become unreasonably high if it ever reaches 100k+. Not to say that other blockchain type tech won't also take its market cap however, such as ETH and who knows what else.
