The big players are on the sidelines, taking a slow and steady approach. When LINK has proven to be sound and secure, there will be another waiting period before it explodes. Those on the sidelines will then only wait for someone else to step into the game first. Let them take the risk of being first to launch a substantial contract. At the same time, LINK executes it flawlessly. More trust is gained. Everyone jumps in at once. That is the Singularity.
Having a large contract on the network does not in itself increase the token value, staking will. Nobody will want to be first because the value of the tokens they're sitting on will increase the second the network starts to prove itself. Whoever is first in stands to lose from an investment perspective because they will have staked many LINK to secure a large contract but everyone after will need much less LINK to secure a similar valued contract.
