Man I remember Boxxy, I didn't jerk off to her but she was hot. Boxxy was posted ironically even back then, she was an archetypal le random xD chick. Who was that other bitch - Cracky Chan? I think she still has a Twitter, and I checked it out not so long ago, and it was quite sad. Anime posting is not ironic in any way and thus inferior to Boxxy posting. But yes I concede 4chan has always had anime on it. Self-consciously posting pedobait anime girl reactions in every single thread is a new thing though, and that's the lame shit. It used to be more GITS/Cowboy Bebop type shit.

In all seriousness although this might be a green day on open, I would very seriously reconsider trying to dip-buy this one, especially if you can't premarket trade. Memes aside yesterday should have sent you a very fucking clear message, and that message is not "buy more stocks."

There are very serious, very obvious systemic weaknesses in the economy that are going to stay with us for a long time. Smart money bought near the low in March, and smart money isn't going to sit on their hands and risk their >30% for another couple points in an environment where VIX is going like it's going.

All the experts, literally all of them, are telling you very clearly to get the fuck out of the market right now. All of the signs are pointing toward another huge leg down, and I doubt we will recover as quickly when people who opened their RH account within the last year realize just how much the market can fuck them in a week.

Boeing's financials are horrible (debt , inventory + no sales ).... Commercial aviation is almost 50% of their business (737 max grounded with no clear future , 787 dreamliner - sales will drop in long term as much less long distance flights expected in future). Obviously the Defence part of their portfolio won't grow (due to the same reasons). It is okay buying $BA at $110 - 150 as it will be pumped up again in short period of time by the banks. The speculative growth will be driven purely by news (FAA test, economy recovery or just simple "hey, we've just sold 3 more planes" etc), but it will be short term growth and the stock will be dumped again and again. from yahoo's /Biz

That and every 3 weeks of bull runs there have been 2-3 days of bear days. We are actually late on a bull run. If today flatlines. Good sign. If today goes up 2-3%. We're in for either a 2-3% drop or its gonna skyrocket fast.

But it is still good profit, I don't got as much money as you. 100 is fair enough when I got other stocks for at least exposure to easy gains.

>>19677698
Oh, changes things. Not as much money as me. But I still don't wanna dump it all in, I got other stocks. But the profit I could not pass up, one of the best buy the dip stocks there. Also got PFE yesterday since it mega dipped for no reason down to 33.3 from 36. For a defensive stock working on covid that is ridiculous when it was already low. PFE already almost back to 34. Got DFEN and FAS too, both profiting well. Sounds dumb, but HRC was a reliable pick up too it has just plummeted face first the last few days and will bounce back like nothing happened, shit stock but easy money on bounce. there's videos that will explain this better than some asshole on this anime & finance board.
but let me give it a shot since i'm bored:

shorting shares requires a margin account
a margin account lets you borrow
if a stock is at $90, and you short 2 shares of it it using your margin account, it means you borrowed 2 shares from your broker and sold it right away at that price. some other buyer bought it for $90. so you get that money, but you owe your broker now -2 shares of that stoc. if the price goes down to $80, you can now buy 2 shares, and that closes the short because you basically return the 2 shares to your broker. and you profit $20 from the difference.

>> No.19678001

>>19677956
Nah, just got it all turned around. In order to initiate a short, you are borrowing shares from your brokerage. To start the trade, you sell those borrowed shares at market. To exit the trade, you then buy the same amount of shares you previously sold and return them to your brokerage. The cash difference between the original sell price and the price you bought is your profit, less short fee to brokerage.

example:
>borrow 100 shares in CUNNY company
>Sell them at market price of $10
>rebuy 100 CUNNY shares for $7
>return shares to brokerage
>your profit is $3 per share less the fees (shorting involves an extra fee)

>> No.19678005

>>19677956
From my understanding, you make a short position if you believe a stock's direction is down.

So you sell 100 shares of Stock A that you don't actually own at the current price you believe is the highest point at that time. It drops in price. Then you can buy back the 100 shares at the dip price and return it to the broker, and you keep the profit made.

>Wouldn't it make sense blah blah...

No because a short position assumes that the stock will not recover, or at least won't recover in the short term.

>> No.19678006

>>19677956
You open a short position on a stock you are longing when you feel it's gonna dip. You ensure you don't lose the money if it does dip, and if it goes up you just close the short.

it would take some mass worker strike to drop tesla and start a chain reaction that shows people aren't willing to go back to work due to fear of the virus.

shorting allows you to profit from a stocks value declining. that's all. if the whole market is going down you can still turn a profit off a short.

in a long position the market going down is bad and you lose money. you can only hope for future profits, but you can't turn any money in a red market like you can from a short.

Basically VIX is volatility tracking in the market, huge sell off or crazy patterns line goes up. TVIX through some sort of jew magic allows you trade this. Look at the chart 1yr and you will see that it went up bigly in march when market was dumping. Keep in mind if you buy this shit and it doesn't work in a couple days it's a decaying fund so you have to cut your losses.

yesterday's drop was allowed to happen, it's all controlled. they did it to show that they aren't going to pump the stock market vertically. think about it. now they are resuming their buys to prop it up a little but not too much to make it seem fake and obvious. this whole market is fake and so is everyone involved.

you have to understand the game they are playing. i hope this makes sense, i am not trying to be condescending. it finally clicked just today for me. i see it now. and it all has to do with options. they make a ton of money just from fucking over retail options buyers. so even if the fed blows $1T to buy stocks they make it back by selling options to people who get rekt by being wrong. the whole thing is manipulated. tomorrow is going to be green, around 1-2% up, just to destroy anyone who had weekly puts, or anyone who held their 2x and 3x short ETFs. monday will be weak green also. if there is another pullback it will be tues-wednes next week. then another squeeze pump to rape June options holders.

the PPT exists, it's a fact. Jerome and Mnuchin aren't idiots.

it looks like it's going to be a lazy W recovery. we're not going to test march lows. we're going to see the sp500 retrace the April/May 2020 resistance which was around 2900. then it's going to pump around July 4th, just like how it started to pump around memorial day last time.

July-Aug will be green bull faggotry then reality starts to set in around Oct-Sept. depending on who controls the market, it's likely the shitlib side will dump it going into elections to make bad orange man look bad. so yeah i think we are going to be red for the rest of June but that depends on how hard the media hypes up the 2nd wave and the chimpout. so far it seems like the riots are dying down.

TVIX looks interesting again tomorrow if it retraces $130-150 and closes with a nice flat curve above the previous low range of $110-125. in previous moves, it went up like a step pattern.

bulls were way too cocky about tqqq, airliners, oil and that was a great shorting opportunity. just keep track of how cocky /smg/ gets.

Yes. they really would dump it one day, and paint the next day slight green, then let it dump another -1 to -2% on monday. you see, they have to also portray themselves as the heroes. for that to happen they have to allow some bad moments, some suspense. now Mnuchin is going on TV and saying we cannot do another lockdown. it's going to be green today to show the Good Heroic Fed is there to save the day. then a little red on Monday to show there's this struggle between Good vs. Bad.

Overall, June is going to be a red month though. there's just too negative shit happening, even if it's fake. it puts a downer on everyone. I used to enjoy getting groceries at Costco and i can't even do that anymore because of the lines.

Here is your flaw. Demand will only rise, production will continue, new chips will be made, more companies will sign long term agreements for chips. Look at Nvidia, plenty of market share to try and capture. Technology demand, like energy typically only rises, stagnates briefly, then innovation brings on the new wave.

I don't know. Yesterday I called the price action during futures and premarket dirty. It was. Upon further inspection I think that was the nastiest anti-retail trader move I have ever seen. Keep going back and back in the chart and there isn't much to compare it to. Fed makes pretty middle of the road expected statements. Markets flops around like fish out of water as usual for a bit but stabilizes around flat. Five minutes prior to close you get a 0.5% sell off. No news after close. Futures open neutral, then low volume but apparently unchallenged aggressive selling starts. This continues for hours and finally around midnight there is an additional spike in selling volume. Premarket gaps down considerably, again barely challenged by buy side.

Filthy. One day I want to learn what happened. Guaranteed there is a story there.
