I am more than happy to talk about investing or retirement questions. I have frequently helped people with questions for just that. For most people just investing into an index, some part of their portfolio in something anti-correlated with the market, and picking a few pet stocks that they understand and do a little DD will do it.
But I have little patience for people who obviously haven't taken the time to learn a damn thing. That go out way too far and too early and then beg to be told that what they did wasn't stupid or greedy. This general needs more questions from beginners who are obviously putting in the time and effort to educate themselves properly. And it will be tough love because the market is fucking vicious to people who aren't disciplined or are lazy.
If you fuck up, learn from it or get out. If you get somewhere scary, then figure out what you could have done to make yourself more certain of your positions. I have sat on contracts for MONTHS that were deeply OTM but I was confident in my thesis and had a lot of research to back it up that I didn't have to come to a damn messageboard to get reassurance.

Thanks anon, I'll keep that in mind. I was naively not thinking the reverse, but it makes sense that with changing times, technology, and competition that you can't expect a company to improve forever. Especially when they saturate their market.
