Why gold is about to soar imminently, in eight easy steps:

1) The American economy is so leveraged and feeble that, when yields go to only 2 or 3%, stocks crash.

2) We saw this in November, 2018. Yields rose to 3%, and stocks crashed from 26,500 to 22,500. The Fed found that it simply could not let rates go up, and began doing Q. E. again.

3) This period is also when gold began its rise from $1200 to $1500--well before the coronavirus hoax (the exculpatory cover for the coming economic collapse) had started.

4) This rise in the price of gold was because the price of gold goes up when real yields go down. An environment with low real yields is the reason why gold went up 20 times during the 70s and 80s. At this time, inflation was so bad that bonds became known as "certificates of confiscation."

5) Because of the present stampede into the stock-market, the ten-year yield is presently soaring. On Friday, it went from 0.70 to 0.90 in a single day.

6) PMs dropped temporarily because of this stampede into the stock market. But if yields go up any further, stocks will crash.

7) To prevent a stock-market crash, the Fed will soon announce a formal cap on yields. This will signify that hyperinflation is coming. They would need to print tens of trillions to impose a formal cap.

8) This cap will cause a bond-market crash, and gold, silver, gold miners and silver miners, to soar to unprecedented levels. This is because the bond-market is even bigger than the stock-market, and precious metals will become the only safe haven to escape inflation.

The yield is going up so quickly that a formal cap could happen any day now--even this month. I find it inconceivable that it won't happen before the end of the year. As soon as a cap is imposed, that is when you will see gold prices soar to unprecedented heights.

The best mining indexes are the GDX and GDXJ for gold miners; the SIL and SILJ for silver miners. The juniors, in particular, are likely to go up at least 10x. For reference, when silver went from 1 dollar to 2.5 dollars, the average small-cap silver miner went up 150x. (Not 150%, i.e. 1.5x; I really do mean 150x).

A side-note. On the stock-market, do not buy the paper ETFs known as GLD and SLV; these are ponzi-schemes without the physical metals which are said to back them.

I strongly believe that silver will outperform gold on a vast scale, but I don't believe it 100%. Gold is definitely going to do well, because central banks hold it as money; silver is _almost_ definitely going to do _extremely_ well, but some people argue against it, saying that it is now only an industrial metal and not a monetary one. I disagree with them, but there are no certainties; so I'm half in gold, half in silver.

>>19573546

First Majestic is strongly represented in the SIL and SILJ, so you will get exposure to it by buying those indexes. I do hold a large share it myself outside of the indexes, because I believe in the company. The CEO is a silver bull who knows what is going on and believes that the price will one day go to $200. It helps to know that the person at the top really believes in silver.

During the last bull market in silver, starting in 2008, First Majestic would have turned a $100,000 investment into $1.7 million.

I'm sitting on a large sum of cash, waiting to buy into the dip in precious metals during the next market leg down (personally I think it's inevitable).

That being said, based on your scenario should one even expect a dip in the price of previous metals (prior to the inevitable rise) as seen during the March leg down in the stock market?

Thanks again. I keep hearing great things about PMs. As a relatively busy wage earner I have been able to dollar cost average my way into a 100+ oz silver stack over the past year and nothing feels more secure. Sean at SGT Report has a youtube playlist about all things Silver, a first-class interview with that First Magestic CEO we mentioned and regularly addresses Silver/PMs in many videos and interviews. I'd be extremely careful about not already having a core position in precious metals. One possibility which could happen any day now is a failure to provide delivery in the futures paper-markets--this might cause precious metals to soar almost instantaneously, in a situation opposite to what we saw with respect to negative prices in the oil futures market. Also, if we get a second stock-market crash, gold might go up this time instead of going down along with the general sell-off.

With the recent increase in the price of gold from $1200 to $1750, what I am talking about is already occurring. Everything is happening exactly as Ray Dalio and Bridgewater predicted to the Financial Times in Jan. 2020 (long before the coronavirus panic):

https://www.ft.com/content/1c90b8d6-36f6-11ea-a6d3-9a26f8c3cba4

"Mr Jensen said he would not rule out the possibility that the Fed could slash rates to zero this year as it looks to avoid recession and disinflationary pressures."

"Although rate cuts by the Fed have bolstered equity markets, Mr Jensen said the group was “more cautious” on US stocks, describing them as “frothy”."

Bridgewater accurately placed a $1.5 billion options bet that the stock market would plunge by March 2020:

https://www.wsj.com/articles/bridgewater-bets-big-on-market-drop-11574418601

We need only wait for the $2000-gold prediction to take place now. This will happen when a rate-cap is imposed.

Isn't that a myth though? What evidence do you have to back that? HSBC had to tap BoE for gold bars sure, doesn't that only mean they are doing their due diligence to make sure the ETF is properly backed? They're also audited twice a year so I've heard.

The rising yield which we are seeing means that even printing five trillion dollars in Q. E. hasn't been enough to suppress rates. A declared cap would be a formal resignation of defeat by the Fed. It would require another ten or twenty trillion to impose. The resulting inflation would make real yields plummet. The more real yields plummet, the greater a crash in the bond market becomes, because bonds become increasingly undesirable to investors; and the more the bond market crashes, the more the Fed must print to suppress yields, in a vicious circle, ad infinitum. Mean-while, a drop in real yields means a rise in the price of gold.

>>19574557

Nobody can say for sure, but probably at least $5000 in terms of real purchasing power. This is what gold would have to be equivalent to in today's money in order to be worth 1.6 times the S&P, as it was in 2011.

Consider what Ted Butler, Alasdair Macleod, David Brady, and others have to say about them. It's a contentious issue, but I'd say that most people involved in the precious metals space believe that GLD and SLV are fraudulent. As there is so much doubt about them by people who have been following this issue for decades, I would always counsel people to stay away from them.

https://www.sprottmoney.com/Blog/manipulation-of-gold-silver.html?platform=hootsuite

Eric Sprott: "I had a call from a rather large dealer in Bullion asking if I had any 1,000-ounce bars because they can't find any. Is it any wonder they can't find any? Look at the COMEX data. The open interest goes up almost every day, and yet every day, there's deliveries and exchange for physicals. And the numbers are incredible, both in the quantity that supposedly is being settled in both gold and silver are very, very large and very large to be non-believable. So, I think we're sitting with a shortage. You can't find silver. I had one of the major dealers in the United States phoning me looking for silver. Well, where's the SLV getting to 12 million ounces if these guys can't find a million? And they got everyone's numbers, okay? Around the world. So, I think there's a great, great story in silver shaping up here. And the same thing in gold. COMEX Open Interest keeps going up, the deliveries keep going up, and where the guys that are short, the commercials can't get out from under the shorts. So, I think all hell could break loose at almost any moment."

Im a gypsy/rom in America.
My family have been buying/hoarding gold coins and jewelry since the Arrived after the holocaust. Most migrated to NYC and DC, then began moving west toward Texas and now California.
They have gathered 1000’s of 1 ounce gold coins, mostly American Eagles. Rom boomers did not trust the American banking system.
They was a cash only Society up until super modern technology has changed every race it was made available to. I know many families and camps that would buy gold coins or 18kt gold jewelry every week as a means of saving money, or as they say “lock up your money” buy gold.
Some wouldn’t listen and buy expensive cars, some bought property, some turned full blown junkies. However over 70 % of American rom have bought physical gold throughout its existence in America. If they need $ they pawn coins. They don’t use the traditional financial system the rest of America has adopted like stocks, bonds , etf’s.
Just gold.
Gold coins are traditionally given to the bride and groom at weddings
The bride wears a custom made vest of gold coins. Guys wear big gaudy coins with bezels on rope chains and coin rings, Corum gold coin watches on 1/2 of the attendees.

Gypsy/rom have stacks of gold.
They never buy paper gold, real physical gold only.

I kind of doubt that, at this point im not even convinced that those are minted in china, I'm willing to bet they go through a third party for their minting because the chinese are prettt dang strict when it comes to exporting any of their gold, also I've pounded flat a few smaller gold pandas in the past, none were fake.

So think of rule 589 as a breaker that the stock market uses, like a break at 5, 13 and if it drops 20% the market closes for the rest of the day. For gold and silver, if there are no sellers within like 2 minutes the price auto jumps every few minutes up to 10 minutes then the market closes for the rest of the day. If that gets triggered then it would mean no one is selling gold or silver.

The xrp stuff is a whole other can of worms.

I would assume hes thinking, about govt collapses or hyperinflation. but in all honesty as long as you don't have to worry about another country invading you and destroying your property paying off a mortgage isn't a bad idea. mostly because the govt will retract the money supply at some point or print a new currency, which means that period of hyperflation where you could pay off your debt for pennies on the dollar won't last forever.

yes, thats the bad bit, they work in shitty countries and hire shitty companies to help them. Barrick its self is very good at distancing themselves legally from the actions of those they work with.

What bugs me is they do all sorts of terrible things, but no one seems to be actually able to hold them to account. They also seem to come constantly under fire from different groups that allege things, but when it comes down to actually showing the evidence in court, the case collapses.

So until something actually happens I am going neutral on the subject.

A work in progress. After putting my stack in a backpack I realized it's completely infeasible to transport. So I stopped at harbor freight and got an Apache 4800, looks like I'll be able to get about 600 oz in. I could probably do more if I had uniform 10 oz bars or everything was 20 coin stacks, but trying to mix and match and maintain asthetics isn't easy.
