Someone with username Sergey, used the same proxy as Satoshi Nakamoto in Vietnam, December 2008. Who could that be???
no idea.. some more hints? Could be Craig W
I want to see the original proxy snippet, I've only seen the one cointelegraph highlighted. What was the purpose of the proxy? If it were to obfuscate sataoshi's identity, why would he use the same proxy to post on a travel forum with his real name? If it were to get scripts or something off his home/office network, then Bam.

>>19542327to be honest if that was Satoshi posting that, it was probably a mistake on his part.I have done similar things using a VPN many times.
Sergey is one of the most common Russian names; everyone behind a proxy shares the same IP - so.. it's nothing.Even if Sergey Nazarov was in Vietnam in 2008, it could be just as a much a coincidence that he and whoever Satoshi was shared the same proxy server.
>>19542348No, I found all that and more from from google, using the IP and the 2008-2010 date range. This code: here: // :username!username@50000007.F000000B.90000002.IP JOIN :#channelname

Not sure if you guys are plain retarded or what. Theres a shit ton of crumbs tying satoshi to sergey, you must be blind as fuck if you cant see it.
I'll just continue to talk to myselfLitecoin had the same nippet of code:https://www.reddit.com/r/litecoin/comments/1bc5cv/litecoin_botnet/It looks like it's a deprecated method to discover nodes:https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Satoshi_Client_Node_Discovery#IRC_AddressesIRC AddressesAs of version 0.6.x the Bitcoin client no longer uses IRC bootstrapping by default, and as of version 0.8.2 support for IRC bootstrapping has been removed completely. This documentation below is accurate for most prior versions. In addition to learning and sharing its own address, the node learned about other node addresses via an IRC channel. See irc.cpp.After learning its own address, a node encoded its own address into a string to be used as a nickname. Then, it randomly joined an IRC channel named between #bitcoin00 and #bitcoin99. Then it issued a WHO command. The thread read the lines as they appeared in the channel and decoded the IP addresses of other nodes in the channel. It did this in a loop, forever, until the node was shutdown. When the client discovered an address from IRC, it set the timestamp on the address to the current time, but it used a "penalty" of 51 minutes, which means it looked like it was actually seen almost an hour earlier.

>>19548034Kek, I guess so. Inna could’ve bought the lambo for all we know. Anons are probably familiar with the case of the Dread Pirate Roberts, the Silkroad admin. Authorities tried to track him down for years and you know how they caught him? It was through a forum post he made years prior, talking about the silkroad, and accidentally using an old email connected to his real identity. This is how detective work is done online- “doxxing” or figuring out connections between online identities has almost always relied on little mistakes. Sergeys mistake was not turning off his proxy - the one he was using while coding BTC - that one or two times he and his mom used the computer to talk about their vacations.
>>19547662We already knew this. This is his mom
>>19547555See, it's pics like these that make the idea of Sergey being Satoshi zero sense to me. He had too outgoing of a lifestyle as opposed to Satoshi who lived and breathed building the Bitcoin network off his job. In addition, if Sergey wasn't going to contribute coding wise to SAE, or Chainlink, how do you explain him being the lead developer for the BTC? His personality does not fit at all.
>>19548087This
>>19548111The purse and IP address

>>19548111That pic would have been after btc had already been created. Celebrating perhaps?

>>19548111Who says his mom wasn’t the coder? She was a computer scientist since the early 90s when Sergey was a toddler. Maybe her and Sergey coded together
>>19548176Inna is a nickname of Irina. When Russians and other foreign people get anglicised names they can choose to write it however they want in the Roman alphabet, as far as I understand. You cant move to the USA and use a foreign script for your documents. So you anglicise it however you want. At least that’s what I know from my friends who have non-roman alphabet names
>>19548214Listen I am not going to spoon feed this. It has been covered. If you honestly don’t believe us then search “Inna Fridman ny” in google. Click her LinkedIn. Pic is of her. I do this from work, I have a special browser that I only use to shit post on 4chan, it has an ssh socks proxy to obfuscate my traffic from my work firewall or whatever other shit they use to track my activity. I don't give a fuck what Comcast thinks. Or, the second option is, he's using a proxy to obfuscate his home address out a Russian IP that everyone and their mom has an IP on, such as nordvpn, which I do from home when I torrent shit, because in that case I do care that Comcast can see and send me a shitty letter from those Jews at the riaa. Let's say it true, all of it. Let's also say he genuinely doesn't have the keys anymore. Is there any other way he could prove it, if he was forced to?I agree with others who have pointed out that the recent article seems like a way to publicly call out Sergey and force him into some kind of response.
