No. You need a diagnostic tool to adjust the ECU. If you don't the car may deactivate ABS and DSC/ESP/ASR. On top of that, changing the pads requires specialty tools. A skilled mechanic can get past that but just slamming the pads and rotors may cause a mechanical damage to them as there is a specific sequence to do it. Its absurd.
